I am absolutely appalled by the service I received at 35th Pride Cleaners this week. I brought my daughter's prom dress in for alterations, a service that cost me a hefty $60. When we went to pick up the dress today, the day of her PROM, we discovered that the alterations were NOT done as requested!
To make matters worse, the staff member, who I believe was the owner had a completely nonchalant attitude about their mistake. Unbelievable! This level of incompetence and lack of care is unacceptable, especially when it directly impacts such a significant event.
Thanks to 35th pride cleaners unprofessionalism, we are now scrambling to find a solution on the very day of my daughter's prom. I would NEVER recommend this dry cleaner to anyone. Save yourself the stress and take your business elsewhere! This place is a disaster.

I came to this place two days ago and noticed it was closed up or closed down for whatever reason and I washed my clothes here less than a month ago and now this. place is closed up sometimes I wonder what the hell is happening to this city it's getting more and more ghetto. I may have to start going up on the north side the south side is not getting any better it's getting worse. It's a real shame I have to travel a long distance to get better accommodations, Chicago is ridiculous.

I am a life long Bronzeville resident and my family has been going to pride for many years. But recently I have encountered I believe the owner a lady who was very rude to me. She threw my jacket at me when I informed her that the lent that was plain as day to see was still prevalent she took a lent remover and attempted to remove it right then and there her son even intervened and ask her to calm down

My family has been going to this business for our dry cleaning needs since I was a child. They have always done good work for me over the years especially with clothing alterations and ironing. I have referred them to all my friends and they had good experiences too. I will say prices have gone up but I’m still a customer for life. Thank you Pride for being a good solid business in my neighborhood for over 30 years.

Very comfortable and quick! The prices for washing are 4,5 and 6$, and for drying is 1quarter for 5 minutes! Really good place ?

I lived in the community for many years and my parents were frequent customers of this cleaners. As a adult, I remembered the cleaners and needed some clothes altered, so I decided to give them a try. Upon entering the cleaners, the Manager never acknowledge me, I literally had to say excuse me twice before I could get her attention. The female who took the alterations was extremely rude as well. She actually asked me why would you loose so much weight and told me why not just buy more clothes. That should have been my clue to turn and leave, but no-what did I do? Well because they had done an excellent job on the alterations, I went back for more disrespect. Upon entering, once again, the Manager never said good morning. Merely, how can I help you. I told her that I was there for alterations and while she never stopped and talked directly to me, she informed me that the person who does the alterations would not be in for another hour. I decided, that since I was already in the neighborhood that I would hang around and wait. I did go back about 40 minutes later and again stated why I was there. There was a gentleman, servicing another customer and I patiently waited my turn. When he was through with the customer, he very rudely walked right pass me, without saying good morning, excuse me, how can I help you, absolutely nothing and, spoke to the Manager, then he walked pass me again, never looked in my direction or acknowledge that I was even standing there. At this point the Manager said to me, he won't be able to help you because he has lots of work to do. No apologies or anything. I asked if he was the Manager, and at that point she informed me that she was. I told her the guy doing the alterations was extremely rude, that he could have very well addressed me and I found them both to be very disrespectful. I'm sure that they won't miss my money even though with the first alterations I paid $135.00, but they won't get another penny of my money and hopefully no one else's. Maybe, just maybe with less customers, they will learn to be a little more respectful and appreciative of people who travel to do business at their facility. Very disappointed, but happy to have found a better facility, where the staff is happy to greet and service customers who keep them in business.
