Tons of stores for shopping/home goods. Giant grocery upstairs, with small booths restaurants inside for many delicious Asian foods. Just stop by and discover all the cool stuff. Just remember it doesn't hurt to be curious, so wander through and see all they have to offer.

On November 1, 2025, around 6:00 PM, I had a very unpleasant experience at 88 Market (Cashier #6). The cashier showed clear discrimination — she carefully packed items for other customers, but when it was my turn, she told me to pack my own groceries and threw my items around carelessly. She also overcharged some of my items and even broke my eggs.
I have never been treated like this before. This behavior is completely unprofessional and disrespectful. I hope the management takes this seriously and properly addresses the cashier’s conduct.

Visited 88 Market for the first time—great experience! There’s free parking across the street, which is super convenient.
On the first level, you’ll find a hot pot restaurant, a boba shop, a Korean fried chicken spot, and a few other shops around the corner.
Take the escalator upstairs, and you’ll see a mix of ready-to-eat food stalls on the right and a large Asian grocery store further down. The market has tons of unique snacks and products you won’t find in regular grocery stores—I even grabbed some Chicken-flavored Lay’s chips.
I tried the spicy beef noodle soup from C-Foods (the first restaurant you see upstairs). The noodles were thick and chewy—more like linguine than ramen—and the broth was rich, flavorful, and packed with tender beef and finely chopped veggies.
For the kids, we picked up chicken potstickers and shrimp & pork dumplings from another stall. They came with three sauces: a Sichuan-style vinegar, soy sauce, and a chili sauce that was so good it was addictive.
Overall, 88 Market is a fun spot with great food variety, clean setup, and authentic flavors—definitely worth checking out.

Business owners in Chinatown should be more conscious about keeping their store environments clean. 88 Market (and the whole building) is dirty and has an unpleasant odor. The produce is not fresh and looks like it has been sitting there past its shelf life. It is also not cheap. Poor quality and high prices.

Every single trip to Chicago we stop here to stock up and buy so many of the sweet buns. Great sushi and asian food court.

88 has everything you could need. My to-go Chinese supermarket for more special grocery runs.
