took in a white button down specifically to clean the armpit area which had mild staining from normal sweat; asked them to launder and that this is what i was looking to take care of.
they looked at it, said ok, and took it no questions.
went to pick up the other day and noticed the shirt was generally clean but the stains were exactly the same as before. i also noticed an extra little small black stain near the front so i walked back in to confirm if it was cleaned properly and if the stain was looked at.
they proceeded to now become harder to understand and seemed confused (ostensibly due to poor english, though this wasn’t an issue at all when i went in to drop off my shirt) — and then the lady said they can never take those stains off. which, leads me to wonder, then why take the shirt when i said this is the reason i am bringing it in. and then i asked about the other stain i noticed and the guy just proceeded to like tap the shirt with a lint roller a few times which just kinda smudged the little black stain more into the shirt. 🤷🏻♂️
at the end of the day it was only $4, but it’s annoying to come into a place and be clear with a specific need to get charged for that need not being addressed at all. and i don’t appreciate the low-level gaslighting with the language barrier only when something goes wrong, but perfect english when they take your shirt/money.

Their name couldn't be more accurate. I've been going to A Plus Cleaners for over a decade now, and I couldn't be happier with their service. They always deliver on time, get every stain out, and all at very reasonable prices. On top of that, and as cheesy as this sounds, they treat me and my wife more like family than customers. I tried several other dry cleaners in the area before I found A Plus, and can say with confidence they are unequivocally the best.

A+ Cleaners provides the best service for dry cleaning and alterations. I have three pairs of blue jeans that have worn out holes and they patched them up very well. I will recommend A+ cleaners to my friends. ?Service: Alterations

I love this place. I drop stuff off a couple times a month, for alterations and dry cleaning. They always meet their deadline, the pricing is fair, and they're very personable.

I love, love, love this dry cleaners and have been going there for close to ten years, despite moving further away (but still in Lakeview). Not only are their alterations always what I need, their friendly attitude and hard work ethic make me coming back every time. They also always seem happy to see me, which goes a long way in customer service! The dry cleaners business is quite competitive in the Lakeview area, and I have found them trustworthy and built a good relationship. One time I forgot my wallet and asked if I could pay next time, which they agreed to - they knew I'd be back! What a great husband and wife duo - a total asset in Lakeview.

Absolutely horrible! I took my winter coat here to get a sleeve repaired and they repaired the sleeve but they also cleaned my coat and it shrunk! I DID NOT tell them to clean my coat! I spent almost $200 on my coat and now I can’t wear it. I will tell everyone I know NOT to bring there business here!Service: Alterations

I'm embarrassed to admit this as a 33-year-old adult, but I'd never been to a dry cleaner, and I had a wool coat with major pilling and general wear, so I finally took it to A+ Cleaner, which is within walking distance of my apartment. I couldn't be more thrilled with the service--my coat looks brand new! They couldn't have been friendlier and even opened the door for me on the way out. Thank you for making my first dry cleaning experience a success!

We had to "migrate" to this cleaners when our old one closed. We had no problem with our former cleaners, but I guess we didn't know what we were missing. A Plus has personal customer service, remembers me when I come in, never misses a deadline, consistently delivers well pressed/cleaned clothes and their hem work is spot on. I have even given a sweater or two for dry cleaning and the owner discovered holes and fixed them without prompting. I am very grateful for the switch.

My partner and I love this dry cleaner. We recently moved away from Chicago and we really miss them. We went here for two and a half years and we always had a positive experience. They are always fast, they do a great job with cleaning our pants and blazers, and they are super friendly. They always remembered us and greeted us (and our dog) with enthusiasm. They helped my partner with tailoring some of her clothing as well, working with her until everything fit the way she wanted. The prices are reasonable and their hours make it easy to go before or after work. I also like that they reuse hangers if you bring them in, instead of throwing them out. We felt a need to write a review after moving to a new city and being disappointed with the dry cleaning services here. If only they were as good as A Plus Cleaners!
