It's been over a year since I had my hair transplant with Dr. Shah and Dr. Chughtai, and thank god I did this. My hair line had been slowly receding since I was 25 and I almost accepted that I was going to lose it all. I turned 35 and kept seeing ads for hair transplants on TV and figured it was a sign. I went to a whole lot of offices seeing what they could do for me, but none of them didn't sit with me. After talking with Dr. Shah, Dr. Chughtai and their hair team, I felt like this was the place. Aesthetic Scalp has been taking care of me from the consultation to the surgery to today! I'll admit, the first couple of months I wasn't seeing the results that I wanted, but the doctors assured me that this was normal. Around five or six months was when I started seeing a difference. A year out, I'm feeling like a different person. I still take my Nutrafol and I will still go in for regenerative medicine treatments. All of that really does help. Thanks, Dr. Shah & Dr. Chughtai! You're the best!

Not happy with results and spent quite a bit more with high expectations. Super nice people & welcoming place but all said and done just not worth it to me.

Do. Your. Research. I got my rhinoplasty done 8-9 years ago by Dr. Shah and decided to update my review. I went in for a simple change, purely cosmetic (remove small bump). The results were horrific. They agreed to do a revision in office (awake), it didn't work and was painful. Then, they agreed to put me under again in order to better correct what needed fixed. 3 surgeries later, it still looked horrible and I'm now left with a butchered nose. The initial surgery was over 9 years ago. These photos are from today 2021.

Absolutely UNETHICAL . I had a 4:15 PM consultation and I called in at 3:15 several times and my calls were ignored. Then I decided to call from a different number and it was immediately answered. I hung up and try it again on my phone number and again it was ignored let's just say I tried this several times every time I called from my own number the girl working at the front desk decided not to answer. Then I finally called it again from a blocked number waahllaa. She picked up. Unbelievable! I told her it's funny because whenever I call on my own number you don't pick up but when I call from a different number you pick up. She arrogantly said she doesn't even pay attention to that. Even though there was an hour time difference from Virginia to Chicago the fact that she will be this immature and unprofessional showed me that I had no business giving them my money. I cancelled my appointment I will not be risking my life.

Well, I started dating a woman who's now my wife. She told me the horrid stories that she went through with this doctor. She had a nose surgery, and he BUTCHERED her nose, she actually left the clinic crying and crying. She reached out to him and tried to find a solution but the doctors office was just not having it. You're probably wondering why her husband is now leaving a review and not her? Well that's because when she finally felt fed up and no solutions were being offered by this clinic, she did leave a Yelp review (I hope if the dr himself is reading this review, he will know exactly who this patient is). She left an honest review of the NIGHTMARE of an experience she had. THIS DOCTOR SENT HER THREATS AFTER THREATS AND HE WOULD NEVER STOP GOING AFTER HER IF SHE DIDNT REMOVE HER YELP REVIEW!!! Not only is this unethical IT IS ILLEGAL!!!! This scam artist is lucky I wasn't in her life at the time of her surgery, you can bet he wouldn't have a license to practice today!!!

Great discoveryFirst did a free virtual consult with Dr. Shah over Instagram (between 4:30-7:00pm). Then they sent a quote for the exosome therapy we discussed immediately after the call (therapy package for three treatments, which seemed reasonably priced based on my research).Nice downtown office in the same building as the Ritz Carlton (video instructions on website make it easy to find). Parking in the building (they validate so it's $19 instead of the $35 it would have been otherwise).Staff are very professional and personable.Dr. Shah was exceptional. We further discussed my hair situation, what I had been doing, and what I could be doing. He provided lots of useful information. Not rushed at all.The treatment itself was probably less than two minutes. A nurse cleaned my head before Shah came in to inject the exosomes. Some bleeding, but I still barely noticed the pinch since we were talking.Next treatment is in six weeks. Definitely looking forward to the results.

So I have been a long time patient and honestly my experience deteriorates EVERY single time I go in for simple botox. It is always disorganized, a long wait, endless apologies, I get dropped in a room and have to go in search of someone to come back, I am quickly losing my interest and in search of new docs. Until I come up with one, this will be my botox go to but it's thin ice. Also, other reviews abt bedside manner for Dr. Shah are very accurate -- not good, ego, doesn't spend any time, always trying to rush out of the room, never a thorough evaluation.

It has been a nightmare dealing with Dr. Anil Shah's staff in getting my insurance claim filed. I don't know if it is incompetence or just a complete disregard for the patient, but they told me repeatedly that they had filed the claim, and it was a lie. Dr. Shah is contractually and legally required to file the claim as a BCBSIL provider. I tried filing the claim myself, but I required provider and procedure information that they also proved incapable of providing. Am I their first insurance claim? Unfortunately, I paid my bill in full on the day of service with the belief that I would soon be reimbursed by my insurance company, which was 148 days ago. I would highly recommend that if your procedure is covered by insurance you should not give them a dime! Insist that they file the claim first or you will lose your money.

Came in a year ago to get my hump removed and a natural outcome. Fast forward a year later. No words can describe the depression, aging, and anxiety this surgery has caused me. He literally SCOOPED the hump off as if with a spoon and closed my nose back up while narrowing my nostrils. Now there is a hump an inch beneath where my old one was. I'm left with very deep and visible scars between my eyebrows and where he opened my nose and nostrils, and my tip is dropping. I have nasolabial folds now and they are so pronounced and aged from nostril narrowing. Left me with a polly beak. Consultations waiting times are hours long and consultations and follow ups were literally seconds. He said he would fix it at no cost, yet I was charged $500 for a security deposit for revision surgery date, and $1100 for anesthesiologists. I thought I'd give him another chance since his instagram is filled with recent stories with successful outcomes. Had to reschedule surgery date since we didn't even make a consultation of what this surgery's outcome would be like, and I needed to know that we were going in the right direction. Consultation was maybe a 5 minutes longer than last one (10-15 minutes), now he edited the new 3D images into the same edits from the first consultation. I thought fine, I'll give it another chance, since it wouldn't cost supposedly. Big mistake. I was immediately charged $500 to secure the date, but allowed to pay a week later, and charged $1100 for anesthesiologists. Two weeks before surgery my gut began telling me to not do this, that it would ruin my face further. Going back in my mind to when the nurse that removed my cast had forgotten who I was, and out of all the e-mails I've sent about my male to female transition hadn't gotten to the Dr until our last consultation where I had to tell him myself. As if signs were all around, I spoke to my physician who told me they'd just opened their own transgender surgery clinic and that insurance would cover for facial feminization if I wanted to fix my nose with someone else all at once. I dwelled hardly because I'd already payed Dr Shah and really wanted to give him another chance. So I went online and looked at his reviews. So many faceless positive reviews and many relatable negative ones. I followed my gut. Tried to cancel my appointment a week before to avoid their same-day no show $100 fee and knowing I won't get my $500 security back but at least the $1100. No. Not only I didn't get my money back after a semi-botched surgery, I was told by his assistant that they weren't even going to charge me $700+ for cancelling and that it was in their policy. A policy I was never told about. I learned big time with this one. Do NOT settle for the pretty/showy instagram/social media profile. This doctor is only capable of very minor revisions but not transformations. I was lucky it didn't go worse, but was I really lucky overall? If you truly love your face to go to these lengths of surgery, find the best, and do NOT go here, and if you do, make your consultation and 'feel' and find out for yourself. You'll find you need to get out of there asap.

If this is for a rhinoplasty, RUN. After nearly a decade long journey beginning with Dr. Shah, I have spent countless time, energy, money, and pain, attempting to reverse the physical and emotional damage done at his hands. I write this as I sit writhing in pain from a horrendous and exorbitantly expensive revision rhino, years after Dr. Shah legitimately butchered my nose multiple times. I cannot adequately express the anger and regret I feel for having chosen Dr. Shah in the first place, or stupidly agreeing to let him perform TWO revisions. Which he somehow managed to convince me were good ideas, and somehow managed to make my nose identical to the terrain of a Colorado mountain. The blatant lack of care, consideration, and concern when I was not a new patient who was paying a fee, was the most audacious and maddening part of this whole process. They (the staff is just as dismissive, arrogant, and careless as the doctor they work for) made it very clear I was, in no way, a priority. From pushing my last revision back countless times (both the weeks leading up to, the week of, and again while I was actively waiting hours for the procedure...I instinctually knew I should have left then), to not giving me enough local anesthetic or timing the pre-procedure medication, to actually forgetting to sign my freaking pain prescription (yes, he couldn't be bothered to remember to sign his own name on the script. And conveniently, it was a Friday afternoon, so I endured the entire weekend in pain), the whole thing was a disaster and a very transparent realization that there should be severe consequences for this lack of professionalism, empathy, and overt medical malpractice. Believe me, there are a dozen other things I could say and rant about, but candidly, I'm just trying to achieve one thing. If there's a single positive aspect that can transpire from my disastrous, near-decade long experience, it's that I can prevent someone else from making the biggest regret of their life. Do it right the first time. This is not a good surgeon. This is not a caring staff. This will be a mistake. Please, run.

My experience with Dr. Shah exceeded all of my expectations!! I went in to see him to help consult on a bump on the bridge of my nose. He thoroughly went through my options for both an open and closed rhinoplasty approach. After answering all of my questions and discussion we decided that the closed approach was best for my case. I am only one-week into my recovery and am already so beyond happy with my experience and my nose! I made it very clear to Dr. Shah from our beginning conversations that I did not want to change my overall appearance with the surgery and that the bump was the only issue. He was thoughtful in his approach and was more than willing to continuously answer any questions I had throughout the process and recovery. I would HIGHLY recommend seeing Dr. Shah without hesitation! He makes you feel very comfortable and reiterates the procedure and expectations 3/4/5x before you are even in the surgery room.

If you want to pay extra and be a number.... for an Artas hair restoration process - check out all the expensive billboards in and around the city (you know their patients are paying for that star power, right?). If you are looking for the premier Artas boutique in Chicago - managed by TWO doctors - look no further. My experience and results were amazing!! If I wanted a recommendation on peanuts or beer I’d trust a famous Chicago celeb. Since I wanted the best, hands down, plastic surgeon to handle my hairline (using better technology and beyond amazing assistants/staff) I trusted Dr. Shah’s office and - am thrilled. Thanks Dr. Shah. You and your office is - simply put - a gem!!

As i continue with the healing process after my surgery i still need to give one star. They claim they gave you products to help with healing and appearance that they never did. Very uncoordinated. There are many talented doctors in Chicago, go to one who has better after care. It will save you a lot of anxiety. Plastic surgery isn't easy and when you aren't happy with the results it's nice to have some reassurance if what you're going through is normal. At this point i think it's too late to improve my results because it's clear some steps were missed the office claimed they did which upsets me even more. I'm not surprised they have the wrong details because it's always something with their office. I will try to see another doctor for follow up visits and discuss revision surgery.

Dr. Shah corrected this scar that was on my nose since I was a child. I told Dr. Shan what my concerns were and he assured me everything will be fine. I felt at ease and was extremely happy after the recovery period. He did exactly what I wanted as an outcome of the procedure. Recovery didn't take more than week for me. The waiting area is clean with a lot of entertainment while you wait. Another thing they offer is valet parking, which is great because parking in downtown Chicago costs around an arm & a leg, nice to know that's one less thing to stress. His staff is knowledge as well and are happy to assist with any questions you may have.
