Management and employees repeatedly allow customers to walk dogs throughout the store unchallenged (and no, not service dogs). I'm a dog owner myself, and love dogs, but there's a good reason why this is a violation of city codes.

I often see employees scratching their heads and bodies and picking their noses. Sad to think that they handle the food.

The Pharmacist Taylor and assistant Blanca go over and beyond to help their patients! Best customer service! They are very professional and patient. I can’t thank them enough for helping me with my medication and Insurance co. I will recommend this pharmacy and staff to anyone!

Jewel Osco on Ashland was absolutely amazing. They were gracious enough to help us feed our crew for our film set. Big shoutout to Mino who was so enthusiastic, responsive, communicative, and flexible with our needs and timeline for pickups. Their customer service is excellent, and we are so grateful for their help.

Went to pick up my son's medication and was told there was a shortage and they didn't have any. They also don't inform you by text or calling, so you have to drive there and wait in line to find out. They also marked my order as processed, so when I called about 15 other area pharmacies and found one that actually had the medication the order was flagged so it could not be filled. The doctor called me after she received the notification from the Walgreen's that had the medication that this occurred. They also told her that they eventually ran out of that medication as new orders had to be filled in my place due to Osco's error. I will also add that calling pharmacies to see if they have a particular medication takes a lot of time because you have to go through their phone voice prompts and since pharmacies are understaffed it might take 5 to 10 minutes to get a hold of somebody, so finding a pharmacy that had the medication I needed took well over an hour, which was wasted due to the incompetence of this group of people.

I always go to Jewel - Osco when I visit Chicago. They have all the products I am looking for at the right price.

I was just at this location and the Dorito chip vendor was so rude he completely ignored my question. I didn't noticed that he does not work for the store, but to just not to even acknowledge me, was very rude and completely unnecessary! He could have just said I'm not sure I don't work here and move on but he didn't do either just kept on working completely ignoring my question and leaving me just standing there like some kind of crazy person. If he hates this job that much why even bother working for the company??? This happened on 05/15 2022 1pm

Decent for what it is. From where I live, I have a few grocery options: - City Target: definitely not for weekly grocery needs - Whole Foods: closer to my place, but obviously higher prices. Usually we end up here for a quick meal or a beer over grocery shopping - Jewel on Southport: this one feels like it has less produce and some staff members that are not as friendly - Costco: love it but a bit too far and hard to shop at since we don't have a carIt's a weekly visit for us, but there are other chain groceries I wish we had instead. Not Mariano's, that's gone way downhill and I usually prefer Jewel to that, but I would love to have a Pete's or Cermak or Tony's instead.Sometimes random produce is sold out like kale, and for some reason I've never seen arugula here. But hey, it's still a Jewels so you know you at least can get some great chicken wings and Cheep Chicken on Monday. It gets busy since it serves a pretty large area but overall it works for getting us our weekly needs.

I recently had surgery and decided to use their app for my groceries and because they offered delivery and the prices were lower than if I shopped with Instacart. I guess they use door dash as their delivery service and I received a text that my order was on the way. When I looked at the receipt, they had charged me for items they choose as replacements that I never asked for. I stated if it wasn't available, to refund it. They over charged me by 50.00!!! And then, I waited and waited for my delivery and nothing. I see it was marked as delivered. I never received it. I know they use the Ashland store and when I contacted customer service they were nice and apologized, offered to replace it or refund. I went with the refund but what they didn't refund was the tip. It's been 7 days now and nothing. The customer service rep I talked to told me to wait for an email to verify my refund yet I've never received it. So I basically paid over 20 dollars to tip a driver that NEVER delivered my stuff. I will never use their app again.

Staff completely unprepared for scheduled vaccine appointments, uninformed about immunocompromised conditions, defensive, cold, and generally disorganized. At a prior vaccine, the tech drew blood from my arm. Untrained in both pharma duties and customer service.

It's ok for two reasons: curbside pickup and Boar's Head products. If Mariano's sold Boar's Head, I would never shop at Jewel. What's annoying is that there's no rhyme or reason to when you can modify an order you've placed. Sometimes it's midnight the same day; sometimes it's a particular hour of the next day. I called to ask if I could add the onion and pepper I forgot in the order I am picking up this evening and they said no (it's 9:42 am as I type this; pickup is after 5 pm). I forgot a thing or two at Mariano's once and they were happy to add it if they had the item in stock. Also annoying that I could place an order right now, for pickup at the exact same time I'm already scheduled to pick up, but their system has no way to recognize that I already have an order over the minimum that perhaps I could add to. I'm in the app; it's me (I mean, somehow it recognizes me because it says my order is pending). We know the tech is available because Target even advertises it as an option, which makes sense, because why wouldn't a store want more of your money? Anyway. I hope Jewel Corporate can make their tech and process more sophisticated like some of their competitors.

I have lost count of the amount of food we've bought at Jewel that was either rotten (like the Ribeye steaks we bought a month ago) or with mold growing out if, like the baguettes we have purchased several times. Today I went back to get some pasta and a few other items and grabbed a "take-and-bake" bag of baguettes. Got home and went to prepare a sandwich and the bread had mold growing on it.

The store is cluttered making maneuvering a cart difficult. Lettuce and spinach go bad before the sell date. There are many items with no price listed. Also compared to Marianos, Jewel is expensive for what you get and not as fresh. Marianos am employees are far more helpful and engaged then Jewel employees.

I go to this jewel at least once a week and I'd say 90 percent of the employees are great but today was a terrible experience with Daja W at the register. She did not say a single word or even look at me. I had to ask what the total was and she nodded her head without looking at me AGAIN. I told her thank you and STILL no response. I don't understand why such rude and non personnel people are at the register being they are the last person you see when you walk out the store. Disappointed.
