I’ve been an Alice and Wonder customer ever since I moved to Chicago 8 years ago. Their Chicago merch is unmatched. If you have anyone visiting Chicago that wants to get some fun Chicago apparel while they’re here, A&W is the only place to go. Emily at the Southport location is the best!

Shocked at the clothing quality. Seam on a $60 shirt tore the first day I wore it. Was offered a store credit + to pay my own shipping.......I understand it was past the return/shipping window, but give me a break.
EDIT: For context, I reached out about one month past the return window, not months. I asked for a cash refund, which I wasn't given. I was obviously asked to remove this review, which I won't be doing. In the exchange, I was shamed for not supporting small businesses, when in fact, I am the one out both $$ and a shirt I can't wear.
In business - you can 1) chase short term revenue via an inflexible refund policy, selling damaged goods or 2) create brand loyalists by actually selling and standing by quality goods. Super bummed to experience (2) from a small business, but I get it - the bottom line is important! Will stick with Madewell et. al in the future.

When I am in the city I love shopping at Alice & Wonder! Great quality clothing with unique designs. Love the Cubs line & always look forward to reading the clever sign outside. The staff are always super helpful & so friendly❤️

Alice and Wonder is the perfect little shop for Chicago gifts and clothes! I was looking for a very last minute gift for a good friend & Emily went above and beyond to recommend cute, quality items within my budget. We found the perfect hat but was sold out but she contacted an alternative location. They had it gift wrapped and ready to go when I got there because they knew I was on a tight timeline. Can’t wait to shop here again!

The online ordering/pick up in store experience couldn’t have been more seamless. Got a super cute last minute sweatshirt for St. Patrick’s day and their shopping bags are so cute too, I still use it for out and about or shopping all the time. All the sales girls are so so friendly.

I love everything about Alice & Wonder - the clothes, all the Chicago items, the staff, and just the overall vibe! Having worked in retail, you can tell that team works hard and was trained great because they are always organizing racks or interacting with customers, which you don’t see much anymore. Keep it up!

Alice and Wonder is truly one of my favorite spots in all of Chicago! This boutique has the CUTEST Chicago-themed merch and a fantastic selection of unique items. Whether you’re searching for a special gift or the perfect outfit for a night out, this is the place to go. The staff are always incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, making it easy to find exactly what you need. I can’t recommend Alice and Wonder enough—it’s such a treasure to have on Southport!
