Unique used book store. The furnishings and rugs and art on the walls give off cozy vibes. It fits perfectly in Rogers Park.

If you like the older and a bit musty bookstore then this place is for you. A great selection of older books for sure but you are unlikely to find much newer publishings here.

First time in today after moving to the area and can say I will be back! This book store is charming, well organized, and quaint! Great deals on gently used books.

Holy moly what an incredible place. It's the epitome of everything I want in a used bookstore, the sights, the smells, the seemingly random but perfectly organized distribution of books. I went in looking for a specific author and the owner knew IMMEDIATELY where it was without a moments thought, like a treasure buried waiting for me. Uch, I love it in here. Will be back again and again and again

I’ve been visiting this bookstore since 2019. It’s such an intimate setting that allows you to peacefully peruse through the isle for your favorite reads. The store is divided into themes and authors and the book prices vary from hardcover (obviously) to more popular reads. Regardless, it’s a good buy and I got some great reads so far for as low as four bucks. This has been my favorite bookstore to visit in Illinois; that goes without saying I’ll be returning.

I stopped in here coming back from Columbia Beach. What a gem. It's a tiny shop, but they make great use of the space. Don't let the size fool you. It's a tiny little maze of bookshelves. There are a couple of places to sit and read, not many. But definitely a really cool vibe. Close to some shops and restaurants. Definitely worth a visit if you want a cool bookstore and not just the cookie cutter big box bookstores.

(The text here will be an update from a normal starred review I posted a year ago.) Armadillo's Pillow is a must if you're into old and second hand books. It's position next to a university means some of the more academically inclined books are available and are constantly swapping out. I particularly love the philosophy section, albeit somewhat small, because they at times have texts a bit more specialized -- probably used by undergrads and grad students alike. This is THE store that really introduced me to, and had me falling head over heels for, independent book stores. Please please check this book store out if you get the chance to!
