I called for a cleaning . When I got there and mentioned I had an appointment for a cleaning , they said no. Your appointment is for a first time visit . I was upset but that kind of made sense because I had never been there before . But, the major question is why did the customer service person allow me to make the appointment thinking I was going to get cleaning?????!!!! But, I went through with it because I need an implant and wanted a price . Well, I know why they pushing people in $$$$$$$$$$ No thank you . I will not be a $$$$$ for a practitioner and they corp. I also waited at least an hour . But, the two stars I did give are for the people . I loved the people and being in an African American office!! The appointment went well, the doctor and his staff were professional.

AspenDental had the nerve to bill me for a defective product that they did not offer a refund for. What they call a temporary healing denture that I had to wear for 6 months. Mind you, I only had one tooth extracted, so it was not necessary. Plus, the denture just did not fit my mouth. It was thick and wap-sided, there was a gap between the roof of my mouth and the plate large enough for an asprin to get caught in the gap, making it difficult for me to take my medicine. The thing hurt and made it difficult for me to talk correctly. Aspen called themselves reshaping the denture. Even after several tries. The denture still didn't fit my mouth. It was still thick and wap-sided, the gap was stii there, it still hurt my mouth, and I still could not speak correctly with it in my mouth. What Aspen told me was that it's only a temporary denture anyway. " The permanent denture will fit better. Well, if I'm paying a grand for something, it seems like Aspen would make it fit, Then I find out temporary dentures are not eligible for a refund!!! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT!!Below are articles related to Aspen Dental.1. Watch Dollars and Dentists, FRONTLINE’s joint investigation with the Center for Public Integrity into the nation’s broken dental-care system.A class-action lawsuit accuses Aspen Dental, one of the nation’s largest corporate-dental chains, of illegally owning dental practices and of deceiving patients.Dollars and Dentists, our joint report with the Center for Public Integrity reported in June that Aspen Dental’s practice of serving patients who cannot afford a dentist has led to complaints of patients being locked into debt as well as being overcharged and given unnecessary treatments. The lawsuit brought by 11 patients alleges that Aspen Dental owns and controls its 358 dental clinics in violation of laws in 22 states which allow only dentists to own a dental practice. The lawsuit was filed yesterday in federal court in Aspen Dental’s home state of New York.Aspen Dental said Friday that “the accusations that were made in yesterday’s filing are entirely without merit.” The company is owned by a private-equity firm, Leonard Green & Partners, and markets to patients who often cannot afford to go to a dentist. The company says that it also provides support services to dental offices owned by local dentists.“The dentists and staff at Aspen Dental offices around the U.S. provide access to high quality, affordable dental care for millions of patients,” the Syracuse-based company said. “Their singular commitment is to do what’s right for their patients.”However, attorneys for the patients, Brian Cohen and Jeffrey Norton, say in the lawsuit that Aspen Dental trains the dentists and sets production goals for them, accusing the company of illegally practicing medicine.2. The Massachusetts Attorney General's Office said in a Jan. 5 news release that it has reached a settlement with Aspen Dental to resolve claims that the DSO used deceptive advertising campaigns on thousands of Massachusetts consumers. The lawsuit was filed by the attorney general in December 2021, alleging that Aspen Dental violated the state Consumer Protection Law and the assurances the DSO made to the attorney general's office in a 2014 settlement addressing similar conduct, according to the release. The lawsuit alleges that the DSO carried out several deceptive advertising and marketing practices. These include charging patients for services it advertised as free and advertising that it worked with all insurance when it did not accept the Massachusetts Medicaid program that includes dental coverage, MassHealth, according to the release.Under the settlement, Aspen Dental will pay $3.5 million, including returning up to $750,000 to patients who paid for new patient examinations, X-rays and oral cancer screenings at its Massachusetts offices. The settlement also prohibits Aspen Dental from using misleading advertisements stating that it offers free services, works with all insurance companies or has no hidden fees.

When the doctor who was going to perform my root canal administered the lidocaine, he got to close to the nerves in the back of my mouth. Moments later, I started to sweat as if I was exercising, my heart started racing, and I felt nausea. They had to go get me a cold towel. I had to sit forward to deal with what was happening, the doctor tried several times to sit me back but I said no, give me a minute. After about 10-15 minutes, these symptoms went away. I only went there because the Orland Park facility didn't have a doctor available on that day. Needless to say, I will never go back there.

The dentist and his team did a good job in putting in my crown. I had waited a long time (more than a month) to replace my temporary crown with a permanent one. The receptionists were always courteous when I called to ask about the permanent crown. So, yesterday the procedure was done. I am pleased with the results.

The staff was really nice. Genuinely the best part of coming here. The dentist though, Dr. Wilson or whatever his name is, I'd give a -1 star. I paid for a financial plan to get my wisdom tooth removed and instead of removing my tooth, he gave me the impossible task of getting my blood pressure down to under 120 or under. I have high blood pressure. I literally can't do that so he didn't take my tooth out and I had to get a refund. I'd go for the staff, not for the Dentist.

I enjoyed my visit to Aspen dental in spite of the work I had to have done. My room was clean and organized, and my providers took the time to listen to what I wanted done. Good job guys.

Just wanted to share same as I did in 2022 Aspen messed up on my husband's denture they had to redo everything they told us it wouldn't cost us anything because he was their fault it pushed his treatment into 6 month out and now we're stuck with $5,000 to pay them I have called them spoke to Maria on that 1-800 number then I went to the office for very first time I was told that they have a new office manager that does not know this case so I said I'll wait for another week I waited we went back today to speak to someone after waiting 30 minutes we were told just to go home and someone will reach out to us and at that time I asked to speak to someone regarding this so Christina in Crestwood office who is the office manager stated that she will give us a call and we have to wait so everybody is passing a buck whoever is going for treatment please make sure you don't get yourself stuck in this situation it's a big trauma that he received and now we are traumatized again seems like nobody cares and nobody wants to end this if Google helps in any way or if it helps anyone in any way I'll be happy thank you.

They were inviting and helpful with my care. They help to identify problem and a plan to address my issues. They also helped me to inquiry about financial options available.
