“I had a wonderful experience going into the Old Second National Bank (North Avenue location) today for the first time. Tina, the Relationship Banker was extremely welcoming and professional. My former bank had merged with Old Second and she helped me seamlessly order new checks and verify important information related to my HELOC account.
Even though it was the end of the day, when it would have been easy to feel rushed or tired, Tina remained patient, attentive and thorough. She even took extra time to walk me through additional services that could be helpful in the future.
Her positive attitude and commitment to great service truly stood out. Thank you, Tina, for making the process smooth and enjoyable.”

“Let’s get into this amazingly delicious corn beef sandwich served from the kitchen inside the Red Pepper Lounge. The sandwich was served on white bread toasted to perfection, with just the right amount of mustard, and the meat was tender as a mothers love, and don’t hold the cheese. And what’s a corn beef sandwich without a pickle and chips, yep, it came with that too.Hands down this sandwich is definitely worth writing home about and is worthy of a chef’s kiss, which goes to the chef holding down the kitchen Chef Russ.Other notable mentions, I stopped in on a popular night, Friday, but my wait for food wasn’t long and I was able to have a great cocktail while I waited. When entering it looks crowded, but the kitchen is in the back where there’s plenty of seating and another bar.But hey don’t take my word try it for yourself. Enjoy…I know I did!”

“Will the assistant manager is the only reason why I stayed with Huntington Bank after the merger. It was nothing but a nightmare from dealing with their CS department and them not knowing what was going on. I finally went to a branch to dealwith my issues and Will was extremely helpful and was willing to guide us through the issue that we were having. The staff at this location is super nice and Will makes the branch run smoothly.”

“Kevin.. man oh man. This man didn’t only save us at the bank but outside of the bank as well. We came in to handle some things and he took great care of us. We couldn’t get everything handled the first night so we stayed and got it all figured out the next. This nice man guided us into all the right directions. He was the most friendly welcoming gentleman I have ever encountered. He had every answer we needed. When we split ways at the end after he took care of us and it was the saddest thing. Traveling from Michigan to Chicago for one thing ended up being so worth it all for Kevin. We will be back to visit him and make sure he’s doing well :)”

“END OF THE WORLD This is all my fault. I was so excited when they built this Dominick store. It was my store and I shopped here often. In fact, I've known and shopped at Dominick's since the day I was born but that era ends on Dec 28, 2013. But I'm not totally to blame. We can blame Bob Mariano and his one goal. Revenge! Ever since they fired him as CEO he wanted to destroy Dominick's and now he has succeeded. What will his next conquest be? This is like a movie sequel. Who will be the bad guy in Part 2. If I was Jewel, I would be worried. I highly recommend you send some flowers to Bob for the holidays. I'm at fault too because in the last 5 years I've bought a buttermilk and a sour cream container here. Those were all recipe emergencies. I started cheating on Dominick and I fell in love with Trader Joe and his no high fructose approach. So I made the switch for health reasons. And now Dominick is just about dead. I will say one last thing, I'm glad I'm still alive. There's no reason to come here because the aisles look like a post apocalypse movie minus the wall of knocked over still fresh Twinkees. It has been picked clean. Alcohol was 30% off and buy 6 and get another 10% but I wasn't that lucky. General food was 50% off but the aisles are a ghost town. Now there's plenty of fresh chicken, fresh beef, fruits and veggies. Those are still full price. I'm not sure why. At this point they just need to stop ordering and start dumping them. So goodbye Dominick...I assume you're sleeping with the fishes because the fish department is totally dark right now.”

“We were greeted with a frowning waitress and an empty restaurant. A few other groups trickled in and there were also some take out people stopping in. The Thai iced tea was excellent as was the tempura shrimp and vegetables. The Pad Thai was missing spice and sauce. They crumbled some finely chopped peanuts on top but I like more of a peanut sauce. The ramen bowl was satisfying. I probably wouldn't go back. I'd look for a more authentic Thai restaurant.”

“CTA Thorndale, is one of the safest train stops in Edgewater, other than CTA Berwyn from what I've heard. What really catches my eye at this stop is the the bike locking area. Not bad, but I'd never leave my bike there, unless i was trying to get rid of it. Kudos for it having a bike pump there as well, but nope! I'd rather not leave my bike there. Just like CTA Bryn Mawr, Berwyn, and Granville in Edgewater; Thorndale has a decent set of restaurants, and businesses surrounding it: Swift Elementary, Broadway Armory, Moody's Pub, Grand China Express, Corner Cafe, Rice Thai Asian Kitchen, and Thorndale Cafe to name some. Decent CTA stop; I haven't really experienced running into panhandlers in this area, and haven't really heard of incidents in this area; Chicago Police keeps an eye on it pretty well; thank God. I end this review by saying it is also an easy access to Thorndale Beach/Lane Beach or whatever you want to call it. Check it out! : )”

“Review is more about private client banker Selena E and not Chase. I live right around the corner from the chase on Archer and Kedzie. I had an issue come up where we needed to provide addl details to continue our relationship with Chase. I first went to the one nearest my gym on Pulaski, but the commercial banker there, Gigi, was new and couldn't really help us, she was nice, but directed us to the other one. The Chase at 4363 Archer. THIS location reps was just rude and didn't care if we weren't happy and closed our accounts and went elsewhere, which is exactly what we were doing after that dialogue on Archer, but bec it was a holiday, the credit union we were considering was closed. We then got a call from Gigi wanting to know if we got it resolved. We explained that we had not, she then directed me to the one at 5687 Archer where we met Selena. She was able to answer our questions with ease and keep us as clients. It was even simpler than we thought. I assure you... we were closing our commercial and personal to go with a credit union bec of the poor attitudes from the rest of Chase's reps. They have our mortgage as well. If it wasn't for the high interest rates, I'd of refinanced as well... thats how bad I wanted away from Chase. Someone somewhere needs to take notes from Selena.”

“The bank is fine and their customers can be grumpy towards the staff.This is my main tcf bank for 5 years, open on Sundays, have friendly staff and decent hours. I've never had rude customer service and they check my concerns every visit. I appreciate the affordable one time fees and free alerts I can sign up for depending on my concerns and needs. Just stop asking me if I want to invest in your "credit card" lol”
