Wenz is absolutely amazing! We are so thankful we did the behavioral modification training for our Golden Retriever pup that was going through her teenage phase. I highly recommend working with Wenz, who has a great understanding of how to train dogs at all ages with a loving, caring and gentle attitude. She has a lot of great tricks for barking and leash pulling. She helped us come up with alternatives whenever our pup was being stubborn or biting the leash in public places. As the dog parents, we also learned so much and we developed a stronger relationship with our pup. The best part was learning how to properly leash walk our puppy as well as how she should greet visitors. It’s so easy to walk our pup now around the neighborhood and she’s a lot calmer when we have friends over. We would definitely do it all over again.

Wen Tze is so easy to work with. She really understands how to read animals. She was able to come up with a custom training plan that fit my dog’s particular needs.We did the 4 week basic obedience training, and have a much more predictable pup as a result! We plan to return to Wen Tze to do more advanced training at some point!

I called Back to Basics Dog Training in desperation as my puppy would not stop biting me. Within the first lesson, Raven was completely transformed. WenZ taught us tips and tricks to keep our dog entertained, busy while I work from home, and deterrents for bad behavior. Every single lesson was better than the last. Raven now behaves so well. She sits and comes when called, even at the park. She walks on leash so much better.I highly highly recommend for anyone who needs help with their dog. Absolutely game changer and made having a dog so incredible

Wen is AMAZING! We called her a day or two after we adopted our dog and it was the best decision we could have made for him. He is a 1 year old mini golden doodle that came to us through a re-homing situation. He was potty trained but didn’t respond to any basic commands.The first thing we worked on was getting him in a routine and within a couple days, he was sleeping in his own bed through the night and on a set feeding and potty schedule. That alone was such a relief. He now responds to come, sit, stay, lay down, down (for jumping), look and kennel and his leash walking has already improved. We are in an apartment building in the city which was an adjustment from the year he spent in a home in the suburbs and the structure that Wen helped us establish significantly eased the transition for him. We listed out several goals and Wen addressed every single one and gave us the tools to achieve each one. She was so responsive to questions we had throughout the week in between training sessions. It was such a relief knowing we had someone like her helping us with new things as they came up. We weren’t sure how much our dog would take in being 1 year old and pretty stubborn, but Wen blew our expectations out of the water. We can’t wait to continue our relationship with Wen and her team through daycare, boarding, and grooming knowing he’s in such good hands while we’re away. Thank you Wen!!!

I have nothing but good things to say about Wen! I brought my puppy Roo to learn some basics, as well as training her out of some growling issues. Wen gave me helpful tips and I was able to successfully teach her to sit, stay, leave it, drop it, and place. She gave me the confidence in my training to help Roo learn from an early age. I would recommend going to Wen for all of your training needs!

Sonny and his parents have learned a lot attending training sessions with WenZe. We were able to get Sonny to focus on commands we were giving him rather than outside distractions. We’re also more aware of what makes him reactive and how to counteract it. The sessions also helped Sonny be more confident and his parents more consistent with their commands.We would recommend WenZe to help with training anyone’s dog.Don Mannery

It’s been great working with back 2 basics with our dog Ernie! He’s been more attentive and motivated since we began working together and his barking has significantly decreased. Would definitely reach out again if new problems arise!

Wen is the best! She has a positive attitude and natural way with dogs. We rescued our dog, Daisy, 3 months ago & then discovered she was extremely reactive to other dogs. Walking her was becoming a nightmare, as she barked, lunged & pulled for half a block, even after we passed a dog across the street. Wen came to our house and taught us the basics first, so we could also practice on our own, and within 4 weeks, Daisy is a pleasure to walk now. Wen even brought a dog with for our 4th session and Daisy was able to hang out with him in our fenced backyard, off leash. I highly recommend her & would not hesitate to call her again if/when Daisy needs a refresher or additional training. I’m planning to take her to Wen’s doggy daycare on occasion, so Daisy can learn socialize with dogs more, under proper supervision.

Wendz is a fabulous trainer for dogs and their parents. She is supportive, clear, empathetic and creative. She never gives up and creates new methods to meet goals. Every goal we requested was met. She is gracious and our Havapoo and my husband and I so enjoyed working with Wendz. She invited me to text any questions and needs which she always answered. I highly recommend her. Training one on one at home was excellent in every way! A wonderful experience.[

Wen is the real dog whisperer! She is warm and friendly, intelligent, patient, kind and knowledgable. My little rescue dog, Mushu, was having a hard time bonding and feeling connected. Wen really helped his confidence through clear and easy to follow commands and praise. She not only made Mushu feel more confident, she also makes owners feel accomplished and capable of instilling favorable behavior and consistent results. She is very passionate about working with animals and helping people understand their pets in a way that really deepens the bond. Her willingness to share her knowledge, her love for her work, her radiant personality, and the real results that come from doing one on one work, really makes Wen one of a kind. I have real tools now to help me and my pup make training fun and effective now and for the future. I highly recommend Wen and Mushu and I are forever fans!

I am so happy I trusted Wen. I was a little apprehensive because my pup is 11 years old and can you really teach old dogs new tricks? Well it turns out Wen can. Training was also so fun and rewarding for me and a really great bonding experience, I felt so proud of my pup. Highly recommend Wen.

I am so happy Wen and her team exists but also so sad that our sessions with Wen are done! (But definitely will be going to her daycare facility in the near future - Posh Pet Club) I saw Back to Basics through an ad on Instagram and thought why not just call? Best call ever and felt truly at ease. Wen was able to put me on her schedule within a day, which was absolutely amazing since I'm a first time puppy owner and wanted training ASAP! She truly cares about her job and is so passionate about it and it shows! I loved that it was a one-on-one training session and she individualized our training plans. She knew my pup and my pup loved seeing her! Highly highly recommend!

Wen is a life changer! I’ve spent so much time and money on boarding and training and follow ups and high value treats and nothing worked, but 4 sessions with Wen changed everything! My extremely reactive dog can pass another dog calmly side by side on the sidewalk when she used to lunge and bark from blocks away. We love Wen so much and I recommended her to my friends from week 2 because I saw such fast improvements and I knew she was the best! I would have payed 3x for the training she gave me, it’s invaluable! LIFE CHANGING. Can’t wait to see the new day care!

I can’t recommend Wen enough! My dogs behavior drastically improved after our 3 training sessions together. Wen taught my puppy basic commands (sit, stay, come), but the biggest thing was learning to walk without pulling and not jumping on strangers. She’s the best!
