What a terrible experience. Over the phone Ben and I scheduled a 12pm move of my one bedroom apartment. The day of I waited for three hours for the movers to arrive. They were not communicative during this time to give me an eta-I called them after an hour after 12. When they finally did arrive they were very tired and very rude especially Ben. Ben began being very emotional when he saw my packed things, yelling that this was not a small job. I never indicated that it was a small job and was honest with my description of a one bedroom apartment but he was not having it. He complained my boxes were to small, about having to walk back and forth from the truck, about stacking things and that he didn’t have the right equipment. They did not come with any equipment for a move. Ben and I began to argue back and forth and his employee Phil tried to smooth things over seeing how poorly everything was going. Phil gave the excuse that they just came from a hard job and looking at this move was intimidating because I had miscellaneous things and chairs. What apartment does not have chairs in it? I was in shock by Ben’s whiney attitude and lack professionalism. They did not offer at least to take the big things or to even suggest I pay more for the job. They simply refused the job and wanted me to repack things in bigger boxes to make it convenient and reschedule. I will never use this company or recommend them. If they were to tired and didn’t want to do the work they should have canceled instead of make me wait three hours for them to decline the job.

MUCH LIKE OTHERS SAY BEWARE BEFORE BOOKING. My husband hired this company to move our house locally on a Saturday. We had to turn in the keys 5PM the next day and this company is closed Sundays. The company called the day before to confirm AND NEVER SHOWED UP. Did not answer the phone, did not let us know they wouldn’t be coming. It wasn’t until I saw how many other people they’ve done this to that I let my husband know! He only read the good reviews and thought they’d be reliable. I called Hercules Moving Company and they were AMAZING! I called after 5PM, they quoted me and sent movers first thing ON TIME the next day! Our stuff was moved with zero damage and only $75 more than this unreliable/unprofessional company. So while I am leaving Bens Moving zero stars, if you need a great company call Hercules Movers! We have moved MANY times and never experienced such thing as a company who just ghosts paying customers, wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

I would give zero stars if possible. We hired this company to help move some of our stuff into a pods unit and they totally ghosted us. Didn't show up the morning of the job and didn't even bother to take 30 seconds to call us to let us know they weren't coming. This company is not reliable. Stay away.

I used Ben and his team for a local move. They kept me up to date on their arrival time. Once they arrived they were quick and efficient with loading and off loading the truck. They moved all boxes and furniture where i had asked. The team was extremely nice and worked well together. I would recommend highly using this company.Service: Local moving

BEN THE MOVER were incredibly good - we’ve used them twice now to remove items from our rented flat into storage to prepare for our permanent home move. We will use them again for our final home move. They show up on time, work efficiently with a cheerful attitude and lots of patience. We even asked them to move a desk to a temporary flat and when we found out the lift wasn’t big enough they walked up ten floors with a cheerful attitude and sense of humor. Phenomenal company - they really care about making a good impression. They carefully wrapped our goods, disassembled huge beds, took down furniture and objects drilled into walls, stacked everything into our storage unit to optimise the use of space. We have used them three times so far within Chicago, and they have always done an excellent job! The moving guys were very efficient and knew what they were doing! They don't waste time!
