DO NOT COME TO THE SOUTH LOOP BEST BUY!!!!!I use to like this Best Buy but now I will not step foot in here. There is a potential scam going on in this Best Buy and anyone who is thinking about buying an expensive and new product from this specific Best Buy better watch out. We bought a brand new TV for my mother. When we were about to take it out of the box I realized the box was already open. Mind you, this is supposed to be a BRAND NEW, not used. Why is this box already open? It didn't really bother me until we tried to set it up. Why was the box missing one of the stands and the remote. Yes!! The whole remote. Reading previous reviews from this Best Buy makes me think they are running a scam and screwing over customers. Staff may be opening products, possibly replacing them with used products or removing things that are needed to set it up. It's very suspicious. I don't know who needs to investigate but it needs to be done.Do not go to this Best Buy unless you want to get screwed over.

It’s so happened that the ps5 controller that came along with the box when my cousin purchased a console for me as a birthday gift it was amongst the batch that were prone to technical issues. So when it became faulty after about seven months of play. I watched several YouTube DIY repair attempts on how to fix it, I eventually tossed it aside and acquired a replacement. Then a little bird whispered to me that Sony replaces controllers that fall within a certain serial number which were poorly manufactured.However, they required specific details like receipt before approving the replacement process. This wouldn’t have been a problem if I purchased the console myself. My cousin had lost the receipt and said I should take heart and just buy another controller.I asked him where he purchased the console and he told me the Best Buy East Roosevelt, Chicago. I took my time to plan and call since I knew the location and the date of purchase was around my birthday.I dialed Best Buy Roosevelt, spoke to a very polite Erica, who asked for me several details? I was able to provide just a few and she sent me the email with the receipt which Sony required for a replacement.I’m so happy to tell you that the replacement has arrived and I now have a brand new controller. Thanks to an Erica & BestBuy Roosevelt.

Sold me a used TV that didn't exist 3 times. The last time they told me it was ready so I drove there, but once again IT DID NOT EXIST. Gave me a worse quality TV that was, I found out after I took home and set up, broken. Tried to swap for working TV, but wanted to transfer remote and stand (better quality TV didn't have them). They said this was impossible. Wasted at least 5 hours of my time.

It’s like a treasure hunt! Say you need a video adapter for your computer. The website says they have two different kinds in stock. You talk to three different sales reps and between them they show you six different places they might be, but aren’t. You might even find one of the places where the item they supposedly have six of is supposed to be hanging, but isn’t. One of the sales reps will offer to, “look in the back,” where they will wander between shelves (full of identical crates, a la Raiders of the Lost Ark) for a while, then give up. Just as you’re about to give up, you may find a random cardboard box on top of a crate full of random stuff. This is where your items might be (your mileage may vary), but your patience and your parking meter will have both expired.

I've never reviewed on Yelp, but I saw the negative reviews and they were so different from my experience that I wanted to make sure I chimed in! Dwayne helped me find a laptop charger in the Windows section. He showed me two different options, and even let me try the one I was interested in to make sure it worked on my device. I ended up with a charger that was a better price than what the automated customer service had recommended to me prior to coming in! I'm very grateful for his kindness--from one retail worker to another. :)

absolutely terrible service nobody answers the phone. I've had to call multiple times to even get connected with one person regarding an issue on placing an order on Best Buy and Best Buy taking the money but cancelling my order. It's ridiculous....

Order was supposed to be ready for pickup in 1 hour. After 5 hours the store closed, never got my order. I understand the demand is high from christmas, but claiming 1 hour pickup when I can't even go the same day is crazy.
