Blue City Cycles is a nice local bike shop and a great neighborhood bike shop. It is fairly small without a huge selection of new bikes, but it has a good amount of tools, parts, tires, and a nice variety of accessories. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and very reasonable. They provide great customer service, are honest, and are willing to help with bike issues, fixes, and ideas, even on things like a scooter tire. Their knowledge of the local paths and routes is excellent. They offer fast turn-around and are open until 6pm. There is also a bike shop cat or two.

These folks will take care of you and your bike. Nothing like going to a place thinking you need to spend more on something, then having them be honest with you and spending less.

One of the only places in Chicago willing to help fix my scooter tire after running over a nail. Great customer service and fast turn around!!
