I have been trying to resolve an estate matter with BMO/Harris for several months! The service is inconsistent from one branch to another. The bureaucracy is outrageous. I would never open or maintain an account with this financial institution. My issue still isn't resolved, and I am exhausted by them. Customer service representatives are essentially useless.

Very poor service. I don't recommend this location to anyone in the city of Chicago anytime soon.

Do not go here for an estate account. Their staff has very poor customer service skills. I went in today to ask what they need from me to close the account. They never answered my simple question. Instead they ran me around in circles, asked me repeatedly to confirm my name and my dad's name while holding my picture ID, argued about the check amounts I repeated to them, argued about the final amount in the account I stated, argued about who's check was where, ridiculous! And then one of them repeatedly told me what to do regarding one of the checks. Who in the world is he to tell me what to do like I'm a brainless idiot? Did he think I was related to his coworker who couldn't understand simple English? This is only the most recent issue/visit I've had here. There was more. I don't know what to say. Perhaps try a small bank. Chase was worse! Chase bank couldn't even manage to keep our initial estate account check deposited.

Used to love to bank with Harris but unfortunately will be taking my business somewhere else. You over charge for money orders , checks and fees. $40 for plain checks that's just insane.

Tellers are slow and unmotivated. First they had a very long renovation and customers were diverted to enter via the temple on the east side. Then after the remodeling, it was obvious that bankers now had large offices with privacy. I wonder at whose expense? Service is extremely slow though. Needs serious improvement.

This location does look more modern with the remodel and all, but the staff still leaves much to be desired. No one makes you feel valued. You can sense their annoyance with their jobs. Shrug.
