My husband and I visited BMO branch at the Washington Square Mall in Chicago, IL. We waited for one hour only to be told we need an affidavit to conduct business for his mother who passed in March 2023. May her soul rest in peace. Only two bankers was available. My husband took a day off work to return with the affidavit only to be told by the same banker, that he was informed by the BMO branch manager at this location that we need to bring in a small estate affidavit in which my husband is the next of kin. After waiting one hour and thirty minutes. My husband took a day off work once again to return the mail that was addressed to his beloved mother by BMO to our home address. This is unacceptable business practice! Too often people of color are misinformed and treated with the lowest form of customer service in their community. We are professional as well! Our time is has the same value as BMO professionals. Please be advise that the atmosphere at this BMO branch has a very unprofessional vibe. Thanks

Looks like an 822 credit score with no debt (except for a mortgage) isn not enough to finance a few thousand $ in a car loan.If you are unwilling to do a loan, maybe you should stop pulling credit and damaging consumer credit. The boiler plate (after careful consideration) rejection letter providing hints on improving credit scores is juvinile and lazy. Return phone calls do not exist and answering machines are the only option. I hope there is a class action lawsuit againts this Bank. I will add, Harris Bank was great prior to the BMO purchase.

Worst online bank ever! Opened up an online savings account and can't do anything with it online! Have to call in and speak with someone to add a beneficiary which takes up to 30 days . Ridiculous! Every time I call I'm told something different! One time I was told I needed to go into the branch to add a beneficiary to the account. They're in Chicago and I'm in California!

Here is my situation: get a gift card from a stranger for my son who has cancer and call to check balance and am told they cant help with gift cards Asked to speak to a different rep and they said no, was told I have to speak to person who gave me card to figure out pin Can't use card because it was donated anonymously. Customer rep told me my time was up and they needed to help actual customers. Very frustrating when a bank has their name on the front of gift cards and not wiling to help. What's the point of selling gift cards? Rep told me over and over to call number on back of card and it was the number I reached her at. Now I have funds I can't use or access that will be eaten up by your $3/month fees until they are gone. At a loss...

Harris used to be great. Not sure what happened since they combined with BMO. I understand that there are different policies and procedures due to Covid, however, this bank just sucks. According to their hours both online and on the door, they're open until 6pm on Fridays. Last Friday I was denied entry at 3:45pm because they were "done for the day" according to the security guard. I'm here again, the following Friday. I called to ask if it was ok to come make a deposit for a business and was told anytime before 4pm.. hmm ok. I'm now waiting at 3:10pm to be able to enter to make a deposit and the security guard tells me he'll let me in when they're ready (tellers)...... here's the kicker. The lobby is completely empty. What is you doin BMO Harris ?

This location is running a scam the ATM don't work it don't despend your cash yet it still take the amount from your account and you have to wait 3 to 5 business days for your cash. I report the problem to the bank manager she claims there's nothing she can do about it and yet they haven't put an out of order sign on the ATM. So pass the word on.

My family had a really bad experience with BMO Harris Bank. 1,000 was taken from a business bank account. Because we didn't report the loss within 24 hours, the bank would not recover the money. Not only would they not recover the money, they didn't even investigate the claim. The bank eventually returned the money, but this was only after spending hours (literally several days from 8-5) back and forth between the bank and the city of Chicago (where the fraudulent charge was from). If you are going to use the bank, then I highly recommend setting alerts to your phone is money is withdrawn, and make sure to report the claim immediately. Or better yet, just find a new bank.

I will be refinancing my auto loan, this place is a joke. People pay bills online for convienance and they take advantage by trying to charge a $10-$15 fee. Customer service sucked and they don't know how to make things right when they are wrong, the person i talked to try and find a way around things clearly out of laziness so he didn't do as much work. No thanks.

I can't speak to the service as I strictly use the ATM drive thru. It's so convenient and perfect for people like me who don't want to get out of the car and don't need to speak to an associate.
