After being shut down for a month or so for renovations, they reopen as basically a vape shop, as if any more of these places are needed in the city. All of that money and effort and they didn’t even replace their old, sometimes non-functional, and leaky gas pumps. I stopped by today for gas for my two-day old Vespa. When I removed the nozzle from the pump, a few drops of gasoline came out. I shook it out to get whatever was left out so it wouldn’t drip on my Vespa. As I moved the nozzle closer to the fill opening, a bunch of gasoline came pouring out onto the vehicle and my shoes. I put the nozzle back in the old, decrepit pump and went home to clean everything up. I won’t be back there, ever.

had an infuriating experience at a BP gas station.
I urgently needed the restroom. The attendant, Sandy, flat-out refused to let me use it unless I bought something. Only after I paid did he hand over the key.
This is ridiculous. Gas stations are supposed to offer restroom access as a basic courtesy, not hold it hostage for a sale. I’ve never had this problem at Shell, Mobil, or 7-Eleven.
BP should be ashamed this is happening at their station. I urge them to address this unprofessional and inhumane policy. People deserve better.

This was my first time visiting Chicago. I stopped inside the gas station (I did not deal with the service shop) and the gas station cashier, Jaime (I think that was his name) was helpful.
