One of the employees that works here, Shayla, had a real nasty attitude. I tried to obtain information about a loan, and she spoke down to me and made me feel so small. I'll definitely take my banking needs elsewhere because of her. The other employees seem a bit more pleasant, but unfortunately this vile, bad apple of a human has ruined the experience of banking with Byline.

Horrible bank. They are clearly going under and not telling anyone. Their paltry customer service is full of ill-informed rude people and they have no 24 hr customer service line so if they randomly block your card right after your account was opened, like they did to me, you're just screwed. They also promised I would have early access to my direct deposit like I used to with my olf bank and when I called in about that the rep blamed my HR department. Do yourself a favor/save yourself a headache and look elsewhere for a bank because this one won't be around for much longer and while it is the service is lousy.

Hate coming here. Always poor poor customer experience. Every other branch always willing to help and go that extra mile... Not here. Atm is the only good thing there.

I have been a customer with Byline Bank for years(before it was the byline bank, North Community Bank) the staff that was at the Belmont &California location were always very respectful, professional, and pleasant to speak with. Unfortunately, I was scammed/hacked, my accounts were depleted, I reach out to the bank immediately (Roscoe & Western) spoke with Manny, he apologized for my experience, said he would definitely help me he could see everything happened within seconds of each other, explained I would have to come into the bank (next day was Friday) he said it was okay if I came on Monday, being that I was so distraught, (I came in on Friday) which he was surprised to see me there, I explained that this is not something you put off. I came into the branch again on Monday, Manny was on vacation, I spoke with Brenda, in order to open a new savings account and ask her about a letter I had received saying I was not getting my money back, the entire time I sat in front of her(Brenda) was on the phone trying to help another customer at the same time as well, it wasn't until I was frustrated because I was trying to get an answer regarding the letter I had received saying that I wasn't getting my money back. She suggested that I call the number on the letter. Funny thing, I did call the number on the letter immediately after leaving the bank, how ironic that the operator directed me right back to her, when she was on the phone she said she would send Manny an email (he was on vacation, she didn't think he would be looking at his email, which turns out to be true, I did not receive an answer till the following Tuesday, (Which was the day Manny returned from vacation, also the Tuesday before Thanksgiving) I explained everything to him, he said he would get back to me, he reassured me that he would go to bat for me he knew that these fraudulent transactions were just that FRAUDULENT, I didn't hear back from Manny that Tuesday, I called him on Wednesday (Day before Thanksgiving) , he dodged my calls all day Until I finally caught up with him and he was short arrogant and dismissive. He informed me very rudely that I wouldn't be getting my money back, when I expressed my frustration he said" if you like you could come in close your new checking account I'll give you cash or check whatever you want, he says to me you don't even have to come in Ill mail yoU a check. (Again very RUDE SHORT AND DISMISSIVE). I told him that wouldn't be such a good idea being that it's right before the holiday and my payroll check was due to hit on Friday(the day after Thanksgiving) If I would have closed the account it would have made my experience even worse. Monday, November 30, 2020, I decided that after the awful experience of being hacked and compounded by the horrible treatment I received at the Roscoe & Western branch to go ahead and terminate my 27year relationship with Byline Bank, I went to the branch at Southport & Belmont, I didn't want to encounter either Manny or Brenda. I meet Ed Jacky the manager at Southport & Belmont, explained the situation to him and his colleague Val, they didn't want me to close my accounts but definitely understood the situation, helped me expedite things, and were very emphatic about everything I had experienced, too bad I didn't go to this branch first. Either way after 27 years as I customer and when in this horrible situation they treated me like crap and didn't give a crap if I left or not. #BYLINE BANK, that the thanks you get for being loyal to them for all these years.

BEST BANK in THE NEIGHBORHOOD! personalized service - whenever I stop in or call, they know me by name. No problem is too small or a bother. much better than the "big banks" any day! Branch manager will personally help if there is any issue, and the fees are much lower than what I ever paid before. Good people.

I will never ever transact here again. It's 10 degrees outside and I parked by the closed byline bank. I am sick and pregnant and left the parking lot for two minutes, with plenty of available parking in the lot. This company pays a private booting company called Innovative Parking Solutions LLC to sit idle in their vehicle and watch people leave the lot and then boots them immediately. It costs $140 to remove it. This is the most immoral business practice I have ever witnessed. I am a small business owner as well, and I would never treat neighbors this way. I did not notice the signs of course, but when you are pregnant and desperate to not vomit it's pretty tough to pay attention to your surroundings. I did in fact patronize this location by withdrawing money for Innovative Parking Solutions LLC. I'm appalled by this practice.
