Let's cut to the Chase. The review of Chase, I mean. Pretty fancy location of Chase Bank located in the Loop of Chicago and it has a lot of cool stuff that the other locations don't have because it's one of the central locations as part of a massive skyscraper in one of the beautiful glass buildings in the north part of the loop. I really only went here to use an ATM because I have a credit card with Chase. Fun times.

This is the best Chicago/downtown branch I've been to. They are friendly and simply transact what I'm there for. No upselling or other nonsense that I've found at some other branches or banks.

I am not the person to EVER review a bank to be quit honest , but here it is . Nothing against the actual Chase Branch, however the ATMs in the lobby are complete Sh*t..... I went into the lobby after business hours and was trying to deposit money into the ATM .... the ATM ate my card and the ATM froze. The $700 I was trying to deposit into my account disappeared and got lost into the money slot and I was out of $700 and out of my debit card. After an hour on the phone with Chase, I left without my debit card, and without my money. I was assured that the ATM Techs will go to the branch and audit the ATM to verify my statement ( accusing me of lying to them, after which I stated they should look at the cameras before accusing someone ) and that I will receive back my money. I never had this issue before , but this isn't an issue that should be happening . If I were you, I wouldn't go to these ATMs anymore .

I started a new job a few weeks ago and needed to obtain an image of my savings account to set up my direct deposit with my new employer. I figured I'd take care of business over my lunch so I could submit the information to my office administrator as soon as possible. After all, I need that money to fund my doughnut/donut obsession, right? Yelp directed me to this location, which is the closest one to my new office. I walked on over around 12:40 on a Monday afternoon. It wasn't very busy when I walked in, which was nice. The teller was friendly and directed me to a small waiting area for a banker. The banker, Kristin, approached me a few minutes after I sat down and asked me what I needed. I told her and a few minutes later, she called me up to the desk. She processed my request quickly and efficiently. She was friendly and engaged me in conversation. She also updated my employer information on my accounts, which saved me from having to do it myself, which was nice. Kristin also enrolled me in the Tap.Snap.Win Promotion. You can win prizes for depositing $200 or more with the mobile app or ATM or by sending money or making payments using the app or website. When she pitched it to me, I figured, why not? She signed me up quickly and I was on my way back to work in less than fifteen minutes. Overall, great customer service from Kristin and I'd return to this location if needed. However, I do the majority of my banking online and only visit a physical location if I need to withdraw money from the ATM. My new building has a Chase ATM in the lobby, so I highly doubt I will return to this location unless I have a more complicated banking matter that cannot be processed online.

The incompetency at this branch of Chase is truly astounding. Today I got to deal with Devon, who handles business accounts. On my last visit to this branch, Devon gave me and my business associate incorrect information as to how to transfer a corporate account from one person to another. After we jumped through the instructed hoops and I brought in the credentials he requested, he sat me down and began to tell me that wasn't good enough. He explained how we were a corporation, then explained what a corporation is, as if I were a child. As if he hasn't had enough fun, he then insulted the president of our company, because she doesn't do her job, the former president, because she didn't do her job, and our corporation, for not having set up the account better. While he apologized for the misinformation, he repeatedly explained to me that we were not following protocol and that a real president would actually want to be invested in our company and its bank account. Devon, I'm very clear on how leadership works. I'm very aware of the roles of president, secretary, and treasurer. As treasurer, it's my job to handle the finances. Perhaps had YOU understood what a corporation was the first time we met, you wouldn't have had the former president transfer the account to the treasurer. We are officially closing our account with Chase, and I am also transferring my checking and savings to another bank. No customer deserves to be treated that way. Also Devon, try to behave a little less as if you've consumed an entire case of Redbull. It's a little startling to the customers.
