Mags, General Manager made a house call today on our two, sick citrus trees. I have had "Gertrude" and "Fred" since they were seeds (end of 2016) and just recently Gert (and Fred to a lesser extent) started to shed leaves every night. It was scary to walkout and see the curled up, brown tinged leaves laying there and the bare(ish) branches.Mags came in and examined them and the soil and asked and answered a lot of questions. They were professional, empathetic and knowledgeable. Mags had offered a zoom visit, but we feel that it was well worth the money to have them come out.Mags aerated the soil to loosen the snug dirt and trimmed a branch which was miserably plowed into the ceiling. We feel this is the beginning on the road to better health and plan on having them come back in spring to replant our Snake plant (which has gotten a bit unwieldy). Very happy with our visit!

Gotta love this place. Staff are very friendly and clearly experts in their craft. Depending on the time of year, the layout configuration may change, however you can still expect to walk into a little jungle every time.I'd say plants are a little bit pricier here, where the starting price floats around the low 20s, however depending on whether the plant is a rehab or not, you may find some under that price point. Also I have to applaud their website. Chicago Plants offers a collection of little care guides for each and every plant variation in their store, so you can come prepared or leave with a peace of mind.

They are so knowledgeable and helpful here. I love this shop! I bought two new plants here and they even re-potted them for me.

Update: November 26, 2021Plants are still lovely. But I'm pretty disappointed and not sure I'll be back anytime soon, since there are lots of plant shops in the city and suburbs to visit so I don't have to maintain my loyalty here. Very sad since I'd just shared on Yelp Insta that this was my favorite plant shop in the city. Let me explain.I attended their Small Business Saturday after-hours party. I had been looking forward to it for over a week. When I got there, not a single person in the store besides me was wearing a mask, and there were at least 10 others in the shop. They did have cans of some type of beverage sitting out, so it *might* have made sense of people were drinking, but I only saw one person who was drinking anything. Staff didn't have masks on either.I'd been so excited to perhaps find a rescue plant or get a cutting of a plant, in addition to probably leaving with a neon pothos, and now I'm annoyed I planned my day around this and it was such a letdown. But it was just real awkward and I felt like the strange one for being masked. I didn't want to ask if there were rescue plants/cuttings/etc. since I wasn't about to get close to people. So weird since they had what I thought was a Dailey firm stance on them other times I'd visited! They didn't ask for a vaccination card/image, but when they said "vaccine required", I didn't realize it also meant "masks optional".

Came in here to buy a few plants. The staff was excellent and helped answer all of my questions. The website pricing a little misleading but buy plants in Chicago can be pricey. Overall great experience and clean store.

I went by today to browse and pick up a few things as I've been wanting to stop in for a while. The 2 people working were super talkative, friendly, and helpful, and I had a very enjoyable time looking for plants. Everything in the store was in great shape and appeared healthy, vibrant, and very well cared for. There was also a really nice variety of things in terms of price point, look, and size which is always appreciated. I ended up picking up two plants and a pot and I thought their prices were very fair. I would 100% come back here again and plan to soon! This is a great business and I hope they thrive!!

We were immediately greeted by a very friendly worker, Jackie, who has a huge knowledge of plants (including the scientific names of plants! So cool!) and explained what we wanted to know about the varieties in the store. We eventually decided on a larger Dracaena and both associates in the store packed it up so we could drive home with it in the car (super thoughtful!).If you want to support a local small-business and get great expertise on plants and plant-care, Chicago Plants is the place for you!

Such a cute and friendly place! I know nothing about plants at all and they were super patient and helpful! Their prices also seemed very reasonable and I enjoyed being inside of the place. Feels also like a safe space.
