The Chicago School of Guitar Making teaches courses in instrument and amplifier repair, design, and making. Courses are offered year-round, including extended summer camp sessions. Since 2005, thousands of students have enrolled, many starting careers as luthiers and technicians. The school is fantastic, with a great location and a large, tidy shop. Instruction is succinct, timely, and full of knowledge. Students take away heirloom-quality creations and gain tremendous, highly recommended knowledge for DIY projects, making the courses well worth the price.

Fantastic school! I learned how to make an amazing Fender bassman and with the knowledge I learned, have been able to start DIY projects on my own gear. Highly recommend!
