One of the best lunch combo deals in the city both in quality and quantity with expertly crafted sandwiches, sides, fresh fruit salad, drink and a fresh baked cookie. Caramel cake and dinner rolls are top notch and there's a great selection of frozen pre made foods at very reasonable prices, I got a take home meatloaf that melted my mind.

The products are always very good. I bought the cheese poundcake, which was good and roast for Christmas. most of the people that work there are nice, but there are a few that really need more training and customer service. If they could just soften the attitude, it would make shopping there a lot more pleasing.

I have been coming to this location since being old enough to host Thanksgiving dinners, it's always the same, excellent! Those of us who know, understand to bundle up and have extra hats, hoodies, etc...in the car when picking up. Last year, the wait was pretty long due to social distancing but even before the pandemic there would be a wait that lingered to the sidewalk. Their food is just that good! I'd rather wait and know my food is good, than no wait and get home and be dissatisfied and trying to come up with something else! Keep up the great work!

I’m normally not a turkey or ham person but will prepare for others well I had unexpected guests to show up and they bought this turkey and ham to help out and I always taste the food before I serve it to others and I couldn’t stop eating I pretty much ate this almost alone it now has me sold for whatever the occasion is I honestly don’t need a reason to stop and pickup one I’m buying at least twice a month need I say more and please don’t forget those yeast dinner rolls go hand-n-hand

Called in inquiring about their sizes of ham Miss Sheila wss so rude hung up the phone didn't even say have a good day after I told her to have a good day this is why I don't support black owned businesses

Today I went to pick up a small ham ordered a week ago. Once I arrived, I was told to stand outside—only 5 allowed inside. People were socially distanced. I emphasized that it is below zero degrees. The windchill is -0° to -20°. The worker told me she knew the temperature and the wait would be 5 minutes. I stood outside for about 3 minutes. A customer walked away and said the employees could be outdoors delivering to customers. Another lady entered; she was told on the phone to walk in. The worker told her the same thing I was told. I left. No compassion or reason. I can’t stand in -20° temperatures: inhumane. I would give no stars, if I could.I drove to the Honey Baked Ham on N. Ashland. They had a long fast moving line of customers. I was even told ‘Merry Christmas’.

Purchased a small "spiral-sliced, hickory smoked, honey'n spice glazed ham" for Christmas dinner last month. The ham was tender and delicious. This business is a longtime staple on the south side of Chicago since 1968. Still family owned and operated. In addition to ham, they also sell whole smoked turkeys and assorted cakes and deli sandwiches. I will definitely buy another smoked glazed spiral ham, probably a boneless ham next time. They also deliver. Check it out.
