I deliberately choose to give a 5 star reviews even my experiences are mixed. William opened an account for me, and he could not be more helpful, and accommodating. I have been very happy with Citi bank since then, even I did not get my debit card on time. I went to a loop location in Chicago. They treated me wonderfully as well, I was able to get online access. I needed to fund the account, so I called this branch and Willam was busy, Jennifer was a banker who picked up. Through out the call, I was kind to her. I asked her questions, she did understand all of it, but it was obvious to me, she was not happy, she told me there are limited things can be done on the phone and went on to tell me some others yelled at her before that is why she had to say it to manage my expectations. I was not going to leave her a review, but she keep saying feel free to do so. Overall, she was speaking over me and not even aware of it, she said, this is not a therapy session. I think Jeniffer, was not happy, please do not yell at her again, please be kind to her. At the end, I hang up early, speaking to her was like speaking to a person who is fully focused on herself, she was using me to lash out her anger and sadness, energy wise, I felt stressful and wanting to cry. I was so happy before I called her. I hope she feel better but I won't go that branch again. It is not right to treat anyone this way, let alone a customer, the problem is that she is not aware, she thinks others are wrong. I hope it gets better for her and for the branch but never again, I won't call. I am late for my class now, and nothing got done, well,

One of your bankers literally just told me “I just work here” when asking about your apparent supplier issue with quarters. To which I replied “you more than work here, you represent Citibank” The lobby has a sign that says “we are customer obsessed”. What a joke. You might want to try having a KIND PROFESSIONAL DEMEANOR as your baseline of customer service. I’ve been with Citibank for 17 years and tomorrow, I’m going to Chase to open my personal and business accounts. Citibank is the Spirit Airlines of retail banking.

The people at this bank are fantastic. They treat my kids with such kindness--when we brought them in to open accounts, the staff played along and treated my kids like clients, making them feel very special. I can't say enough about the wonderful team here!
