I hate saying bad things about people, but this place has provided the absolute worst customer support. We have been given misinformation over and over, that we took action on, and it caused months of delays and missed deadlines and screwed up our accounting. We are stunned at how irresponsible and reckless this bank is. Absolutely stunned.

This is a large national bank and local office with the right balance of largess and personal service. Ms. Alicia Williams, VP and branch manager and Mr. Oscar Diaz exhibited and performed in a very business like manner and efficiency blending personal service. I needed and was looking for a reliable bank and a comfort level enticing me to use this branch's services. This branch and Ms. Williams "foot the bill" and I recommend this branch and their services.

This was easily the worst customer service I've ever had. Even worse than comcast somehow. Thank goodness I have a Chase account. Citibank is garbage. My brother passed away 2 weeks ago and I've been trying to close his account at Citibank. I was instructed to bring the correct documentation to any branch and it will be handled. I went to this location to meet with either a personal account representative or the branch manager. I was the only customer in the bank and the worthless woman at the counter told me to take my issues to another branch because they did not have a manager or personal account agent available today even though they were open for 2 more hours. Shocking! How on earth do you not have a single person at a huge bank to help the only potential customer in the entire branch? I sat for about a half hour waiting for a more competent and compassionate human being to help and still no luck. I called customer service while still inside this terrible location. The woman on the phone was lovely and tried to assist me unlike the 'employees' I met in person. She tried calling 500w Madison Citibank with me on hold. The phone rang nearly a dozen times before I heard the bogus woman behind the counter comment on the phone ringing. She did not answer until I yelled 'answer your phone!'. Again, I was literally the only customer inside while this was going on. I had to walk out without assistance. I guess I will try another location. This was one of the most miserable customer service experiences ever. I was told that ANY branch could close my brother's account as long as I had the death certificate and small estate affidavit. The person that told me that clearly never met the idiots at 500w Madison. -Chase customer for life

This is the branch that I frequent the most. Their attitudes have gotten worse within the last 2 years. I have experienced bad attitudes and what is ironic is that they came from managers. I have been with them for over 17 years. I have asked questions such as, why did a store know what my available balance was in my account? I was told that was impossible and as I walked away she loudly commented to the other tellers that my question was stupid. I later found out that stores can find out what is available if your purchase amount is larger than your balance. That was two years ago. Thank goodness she is gone. Another visit I asked a question about my account that was not clearly explained to me. He told me maybe they could explain it better at another branch. He was standing at the front of the bank greeting people with a frown as they walked in. Thank goodness that manager is gone. Finally, the new branch manager started off with a wonderful attitude, guess what? Then they ask "How was my service?" Most people resist say what's really on their mind. Citi what are you doing to your employees? They don't appear happy and the bank is more empty than ever. This is the Citi Bank Building. All the services that were originally offered with my account have been taken away. I was told it was because Citi was not making any money off the perks. Those perks were why I stayed with Citi for so long. Now they have cut their operating hours. The employees love it, but it is inconvenient for customers. We work too. All Citi bank has left to hold on to their customers is their customer service. Guess what?

I stopped in at 8:10am last week on my first day of a new job in the loop. I had just moved from Indiana, and was currently using an Indiana bank, and wanted to offer a checking account to my employer that day that was more accessible in Chicago. Even though I was afraid of being rude, I asked the gentleman standing out front if he would be able to set me up a checking account in 10 minutes or so. His name was Maurice, and he did just that. He was so nice, got my account set up and didn't try to sell me anything or hurry me back in, which was appreciated (although I really need to return...) I was out in 10 minutes, and I felt he deserved some Yelp* Love! thank you Maurice, and the OTC Citibank! :)

I have been a long time customer of CITIbank, they where my main source of credit as well as holding my mortgage. The mortgage I can do nothing about unless they decide to sell it off to another company, I for several years was a on time payer above the min balance and I guess that is what they want someone that just keeps plugging along, right after I paid off my balance they reduced my credit down to a level that, not that I would, would not cover a single utility bill...What a insult, this is how loyalty is repaid by this company....If I could leave a less than 1 star I would

I'm a paralegal who contacted the branch on behalf of one of their mortgagees today. I looked up their number on white pages today (March 10, 2009) for this location and it was disconnected. So I went on their website and got the number for the branch and location and called. I reached a number that was a call center in India, admitted by the attendent, she also told me i had an unclear speaking voice. So I spoke slower. She routed me after 12 minutes to the location 500 W. Madison in Chicago. I reached MICHAEL in the Mortgage Department. The automated attendent while I waited for him to answer said the location would soon close. . . uh ok. . . .MICHAEL answered and verbally berated me for not knowing the number originally for the mortgage dept. even tho I told him the customer was elderly and had the operating managers name on the executed paperwork, which I stated, and wasting for HIS time. I gave him the Loan Number, Mortgagee Name, amount. . .. Even though I had all the pertinent info and contact on the mortgage paperwork recorded by the State. He was totally insulting and would rather talk crap than do his job. I eventually hung up bacause he called me stupid and lazy. Kudos Michael, too bad your branch might close : ( You don't have to call all your customers or their representation stupid and lazy, I tried to give you their name and loan number and you wouldn't even take it because you were b*tching so much, good luck homes. If all their employess are profane as him, well wow. He was a GRADE A douch and I never got anywhere. In fact the dum dum may have lost $ for them if the mortgagee owes fees or collaterall assignments the consideration of what they executed could be applied.

This glassy and curvy skyscraper by Helmut Jahn replaced the Chicago and Northwestern Train Station in the West Loop. Its central arch and cascading curves are nice accents for the bluish building, which is a commuter train terminal plus office building.
