Costco's gas station in central NJ is likely offering several cents below neighboring stations. However, the downside is frequent congestion, with lines forming before entering the lot due to the bustling shopping center. The entire area is often hectic, requiring a bit of waiting in the car before getting service. Opting for an early morning visit may help ease traffic concerns at the Costco gas station.

Most of time it’s the cheapest gas station in town. But it only carries 87 and 91 gas

Best prices in the city and if you go early in the morning or right before close there is not much of a line.

I first started going to Costco for gas-maybe 5? 6? years ago. I was unsure because I assumed it was low quality gas. I researched online and couldn't find a valid reason to NOT try it at least once. So I got in line and paid attention to the make and model of the other cars. I can't remember specifics, but I saw a number of 'luxury' cars. My car manufacturer recommends premium gas, and I can feel the difference in performance if I get anything else. My car was happy after I got this gas, no issues whatsoever. It's generally cheaper than most, and I refill whenever I shop at Costco. There are multiple pumps...12+? I think? And the gas hose? can be pulled to easily fill your tank on the left or right side. You scan your Costco Card and then pay with a debit or credit card only. So don't try to show up with cash or without a membership card. There are always 2-3 attendants watching, walking around and assisting people. I like this...makes me feel safer.I took off 1 star because recently I got to the pump and it told me my membership expired and I needed to renew before filling up. Oops. That's fine but it told me to go into the store to do it. I drove off before I realized I could do it online. Logged in, renewed, got back in line. They should give the option of renewing at the pump to help avoid the hustle and bustle of having to get in a long busy line in the store to renew.Otherwise, this is my car's favorite gas spot.
