I started to train with Crossfit Chisel, for about a month (on and off due to work schedule). It such a great community. Alot of the coaches and other folks make you feel comfortable. You get great support from others.
I never did a focus crossfit gym, so I was nervous to attend. I appreciate how the coaches don't rush you into getting the routine or complete the routine fast. To gradually build your endurance and strength. They want you to learn each routine/exercise, to take your time on each class session.focus on your own goals and not others.
Being there for a month I see great results. And continue to attend. To better my health for myself and family.

I joined Chisel Crossfit Gym about a month ago, and I am enjoying the classes and the community. The coaches will help you work on your form and help you build strength and progress even if you are a beginner in cross training like me.

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by both the coaches and the community. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and take the time to explain every movement, ensuring proper form and safety. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, they meet you where you’re at and help you progress. The energy here is amazing, and the workouts are always challenging yet fun. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a supportive and motivating fitness environment!

I’ve been coming to chisel CrossFit for the past two months. Even in this short period of time I’ve noticed a great improvement in my muscular and cardiovascular health. The coaches are terrific and they really keep you on task. I also enjoy the format of the workout. The workouts are broken into sections, and it makes the time pass by quickly. I also appreciate that they take great care in making sure that you have a good form. I highly recommend chisel CrossFit

I moved my Chicago office from the Ukrainian Village to Portage Park and found this amazing box when driving by Irving Park Rd. Made and appointment with Brian and today got my second WOD. I loved the 2 coaches Acevedo and Kevin, the people and the facility! Everybody is ultra friendly and the whole box is huge and comfortable. I highly recommend it!

Update: I’ve been working with CrossFit Chisel for several years. I use it as cross training for my running seasons. As a runner, I’ve benefited from learning proper weight training form and workouts that target muscles outside of my legs. Functional fitness has really helped improve my flexibility and increase my pace by at least a minute per mile. The coaches here are super knowledgeable and this particular community has a healthy variety of levels of friendly competition.

If you think you’re too out of shape, too overweight, or too old to join a CrossFit gym, keep reading. At age 61, I thought I was too. My daughter, Sarah, had been to lots of CrossFit boxes because she traveled for work. She urged me to try CF Chisel, because she said Lawrence, the head coach and one of the owners, was one of the best coaches she’d met. I was skeptical, because I’d hurt my back at a regular gym years ago. My doctor cleared me to start, but she warned me to be careful because she said those “young, fit CrossFit coaches have been known to push clients too hard”. That was 5 years ago. Lawrence and the other coaches scale workouts and the programming so I can work out right alongside everyone else without feeling self conscious — and I have had no injuries. I’ve lost weight and gained mobility, muscle, and strength. The icing on the cake for me is Chisel’s warm, accepting community and clean, lovely facility. My doctor tells me now to continue what I’m doing and she asked me the name of my CrossFit gym. Like I’m telling you, it’s CrossFit Chisel.
