Very disappointing working with devon bank, goal is to promote out islamic banking, but unfortunately this is the worst experience i’m facing rn, super unprofessional way of working, no answers on time, all they have is just apologies, i hope any of the new one try to get mortgages with devon bank, beware of their unprofessional way of working.
My closing date is already passed my file is still not cleared to close, also i have no idea how much will it take, all i’m getting a response is don’t worry we will make it, dragging to the close date and not responding.
I hope this real recent experience help people before mortgage with devon bank.

This is a very overdue review of the bank my family believes is the best banking institution in Chicago. We have been members for almost 20 years and they are to be commended for their efficiency, personal service, and refusal to become yet another faceless big bank. I especially want to praise the staff who went above and beyond to help us when we suffered criminal fraud this year and all the fallout from that: Karina, Missy, Bill, and Krissy. I truly recommend Devon Bank to everyone I know, especially people new to the city, and I tell them that compared to friends who have faced corporate indifference from their financial institutions, they will be met by real people who actually care.

Do your self a favor and bank with large and safer banks. About Islamic financing to all Muslim brothers please know that the bank is owened by Jewish family and it is just a business nothing personal.

I had a great experience working with Devon Bank to finance my new home. I wanted to move forward with Islamic financing, and it was a very smooth and easy process with Devon's Murabaha financing. Sari was great to work with and very responsive. All of my questions were answered, and there were no surprises along the way which made me feel confident in my understanding of my mortgage and overall decision to purchase a home. Thank you for helping me with this huge milestone!! I truly appreciate the great customer service and expertise :)

There are not enough words in the English dictionary to describe how horrible and abhorrent this bank is. The employees are more careless than a piece of 2x4 wood, I would rather bank with a trash bin on the corner of the street. Avoid at absolutely all costs.

DO NOT BANK AT DEVON BANK.. THEY ARE NOT A GOOD BANK TO BANK WITH.. I am closing my accounts here and going somewhere else.. This bank's on-line banking system is very very limited in what you can do...unlike Chase Bank who is fabulous by the way. I called Devon Bank at 6445 N Western Ave. In Chicago.. Please note all branches are the same. . to let them know I lost my ATM card.. They charged me 10.00.. Chase Bank never charged me 10.00 to reissue another ATM card.

Been with Devon Bank for over 20 years and I’ve always been happy with their services. You get a much better “mom & pop’s” banking experience that you would never get with the major banks.

Zahid Shiwani is an absolute pleasure to work with.. Not only was he courteous, always available, and very knowledgable, he was genuinely willing to go the extra mile to get me the financing I needed and get me through the process smoothly with the least trouble at every step. My case was a little complicated since I did not have my finances in order, but Zahid had the solutions available.. I do not think any other bank rep would have been so caring and patient with me ..

Gabriela and her team at Devon Bank did a great job overall! My mortgage experience with Gaby (loan officer) was fantastic! I met her at a first-time home buyer class. As first-time home buyers, we had many questions and she was able to guide us through the whole process. At times I felt she would have been a little more responsive, but that was not a problem at the end. She was kind, patient, and professional. I got pre-approval from several other lenders but Devon Bank gave us an attractive interest rate. Even a month after the closing she remembered and sent us a nice gift, which was great! I will recommend Gabriela and Devon Bank as your mortgage lender.
