They always close early. Today I went in at 9:35, grabbed everything on my list, and went to the register around 9:50. I couldn't find anyone working, so I intermittently called out Hello?? While I waited at the register for ten minutes. Finally, I heard the kid working and asked if I could pay, but he said no, he closed 5 minutes ago (so at 9:55). Yeah, it's just five minutes, but if there are people shopping, don't don't close the freaking store down with customers still inside.

This location is one of the BEST in the city of Chicago and compared to stores in other states that I've traveled to!!! ⭐
Here, things are ALWAYS where they are suppose to be. Employees here NEVER have an abundance of shipment blocking the isles.
There is never a bad smell or a mysterious stench in the store! Also, I've never seen or purchased expired goods that should have been pulled off the shelves!
The only issue is that there is NOT a self checkout section like the ones installed in other stores out of state! But, I think it's coming to Chicago soon.
In the meantime, there are always lines of people frustratingly waiting with baskets, carts, and arms full of items to checkout!
Today a woman was buying OVER $60 worth of Christmas decorations, holding up the line, while most were just trying to grab last minute Thanksgiving things!

States they are open until 10 on both the website and the store yet got here at 9:45 and it was already locked. We watched a guy walk into the back and we knocked and were ignored. Monday July 1st, 2024 at 9:45pm. Whoever was working needs additional training and to know to do their job duties to the full abilities. Wish I could mentally “clock out” 15 minutes early and still get paid for my whole shift.

This is the best Dollar Tree I've ever been to in the city--including the far west side, south and north side. It's extremely well-kept, clean, stocked & organized. But most importantly it seems to be run by employees who are dedicated and very kind towards customers. They even have compassion for the migrant families outside of their store.

I mean, it's dollar tree so can't beat the price. Doesn't have parking but there's an empty lot where family dollar use to be and you can just cross the pathway. Haven't had an issue waiting too long in line, seems to have enough workers staffed or maybe not enough but definitely a better and cleaner store than I've been to. If you need something quick and easy they'll probably have it.
