This location is a close location to my house… my favorite dollar tree up until recently. I’ve noticed some of that the staff mostly the younger staff are always on their phones while working. I went to this location yesterday (2/21/25) and as per usual there were long lines another young staff member opened up a register but I noticed she couldn’t seem to get off her phone while helping everyone? This place has gone downhill unfortunately. I wish management would enforce the no phone rule just like any other store would.

Overall, Dollar Tree in Chicago is a solid store that offers a good selection, especially for hobby and DIY projects. The price-performance ratio is good and makes it an attractive place to go for cheap purchases. The store was reasonably tidy, which made shopping pleasant. However, only one cash register was open, which led to longer waiting times.
The spacious parking lot with plenty of available spaces is a positive highlight. The staff was also rather friendly, which left a good impression.
However, a clear negative point is the toilets, which were in very poor condition and urgently need improvement. Because of this flaw, I give it three stars out of five overall. It's worth it for smaller purchases, but the plumbing definitely needs to be improved.

Cashier named Martha is very rude, everytime I come I try to avoid having her ring me up. Very bad attitude, lack of manners, and poor customer service from her, whereas management and the other employees have always been very kind.

The store might be great but...
The manager refuses to hire males. My interview was the WORST I've had. She Twisted my words around and formulated her own story. There was no right answer for her, she was definitely in a bad mood and showing it. She asked why I quit my job from ten years ago. I said because I didn't like the direction the company was going.
"OH so you didn't want to do your work?"
Really? Who shat in your cherios that morning birtch?

The BEST DOLLAR TREE STORE, it's always stocked up you can find everything here. It's always nice & & the employees are so nice & helpful. This is my go to Dollar tree store ??? ?

Excellent ? there are cheaper products on this site, in supermarkets they are more expensive but on this site I recommend that you go first to see the products you need....

Fantastic location with a bunch of incredible stores right nearby. The parking lot is huge! And let me tell you, the dollar tree? They've got some seriously amazing products. But, here's the thing, when it's time to check out, they seem to struggle a bit with calling for backup. It can be a bit frustrating, you know? Especially when you've got nine separate groups waiting to pay and only two cashiers are hanging out on one register.

Store is clean and workers are nice, but they never have more than one register opened. You'll be waiting a long time at this store to cash out!

Meh. Several of the shelves were bare at the time. I think they were clearing space for "Back to School" items, or maybe for Halloween items. I'm not sure.
