As I was waiting in line to check out, a tall, Hispanic lady was at the register yelling at this customer because she kept claiming she couldn't accept $4 in change. She said "you either pay with bills or you don't at all because I won't be taking that change." I felt so bad for the guy, the lady was SO RUDE to him. She kept denying his money. Her customer service is horrible. Do better family dollar....

So I just visited this store line was unbelievably long not a problem but when your employee is right outside the entrance in uniform smoking weed. Not a very good look for the store if I could give zero stars I definitely would. I have small children with me and I understand marijuana is legal here but have respect for yourself and others two thumbs way down

Employees are some of the nicest people in town. They really make a huge chain shop feel like a family owned business. The team sincerely cares about the people that come in.

Mainly, practically nothing is priced at a dollar, it is very messy and its appearance is not very clean, followed by the staff in the hallways, they are always looking at you as if one is going to take things without paying, if you ask them for something They don't have the best attitude, I really go when it is clearly necessary otherwise I avoid them.

Why do I need to trust a teen making minimum wage with my tote with my wallet and shopping bags behide a register but they can't trust me to grab my items quick ?? Terrible customer service and invest in security not making paying customers "check in" with you

I had a bad experience with a FD supervisor last month, October 26th., about 6:45 pm. I tried to return an unopened Clorox Color Safe bleach with my receipt. I got into line and waited to be seen by the young Latina women at the cash register. I asked for my money back after putting the bleach on the conveyor belt and showing her the receipt. She told me, "Sorry, but we don't take chemicals back." I asked to speak to her manager and the sales associate answered, "She's just going to say the same thing!" "I want to hear the manager tell me that", I said! The cashier called for the supervisor. The supervisor was a young black woman who I had as my cashier the previous night when I came to the store. Last night this supervisor was ringing up my purchases, she was complaining to another co-worker about having to close the store at 10 pm instead of earlier because she wanted to go home. The supervisor came to the front of the store and told me, "We don't take chemicals back." I asked her, "What is the reason because the receipt doesn't say anything about it and there are no signs in the store about it either! "Because I told you, that's why," she told me in an annoyed tone! That is not a reason; why didn't she act professionally and give a specific reason? Before the supervisor walked off as I was still speaking to her, she told the sales associate to "Skip him and check-out the next customer". I left the bleach and my receipt for it on the counter in anger and frustration and left! Until this incident, I had come to this Family Dollar on 18th. Street for more than a decade because it is open til 10 pm. Unlike, a Dollar General located down the street from me which closes at 9 pm.

I can't take this place anymore! The worst one in Chicago! Snotty cashier's, closing early at 8:30 am with no warning, waiting in line with an armful of items. Much too much! A lot of better stores in Chicago.

Anaconda MT store has poor management .. You get barked at for asking why items aren't priced on where they're hung .. Items had prices on the package but not easy to see .. Manager does not wear name tag and doesn't price things to save work .. nothing stocked like it's supposed to be .. and a huge tub sits on the floor with unstocked Merch .. Don't ask manager why or she will tell you , you can shop somewhere else if you don't like it .. Fine .. I will ..

Nice products, BUT very unprofessional staff. They also make you check-in your bookbag which makes me very uncomfortable. Don't leave anything valuable in your bag when you check it in.
