If I could give zero stars I would. It’s clear that Family Dollar doesn’t care about the quality of their stores and employees. I arrived at 10:30 AM and was told the store was closed so the cashier could go on break. It’s crazy to think the store is understaffed to the point of having to close. I came back, to find the store a mess. But the collapsed ceiling was the scariest thing! I was so scared that the ceiling with cave in on myself, other customers or even the employees. It’s amazing to see that the store was still open. Does a black community not deserve better? Bronzeville is too good for this lack of service and care while we pay for what should be “ resources and convenience”. The north side stores are never this bad. You can’t even use the rest rooms here. It’s just damn ghetto and demeaning. The parking lot is a mess and full of potholes. Trash is outside with bugs.

The family dollar on 45 and cottage is horrible service! They need white managers the girls always have attitude towards customers they always talking about people all them need to be fired!! They will cuss you out never want to help you it's always a mess in their!!

This store is so unprofessional and ghetto. The store opens at 8am. Arrived to to the store at 8:05. Stood outside with 9 other customers and waited on the store to open. 8:35, store still not open. One employee in the store stated that she could not open the store because she needed someone to work with her . The lines are always long with employees wondering around the store and eating at the registers. They never have any bags and when they don’t, they give you these extremely large garbage bags to carry your items in. The corporate office really needs to come in and see what’s going on because this is ridiculous
