I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience at the FedEx Ship Center located inside the Hilton Chicago. I came in needing to print just one page, a list of confirmation numbers to check in 25 hotel rooms at the hotel where the FedEx is located. I tried to use the Print & Go feature, but it wasn't working from my email.
I asked the front desk associate for help, and he told me it would be 1.5 hours before they could assist. I explained it was only one page and that I was checking in a large group, but he said that didn't matter. I then asked for the General Manager, hoping he'd offer a quick solution. Instead, he said it wasn't his fault my email wasn't working, and showed zero willingness to help in a basic way.
What makes this worse is that every FedEx location I've ever been to has an email address where you can send your document for quick printing. I use FedEx centers all the time and they are usually extremely helpful. most can print a one-page document in less than a minute. I understand if this had been a large order, but this was one simple page, and it was needed to check into the very hotel where this FedEx is located.
Instead of helping, the GM made me pay to access a computer so I could log into my email and print it myself. It took him 8 minutes to walk me through the whole process, even though it would've taken him less than a minute to print it directly. He did this on purpose to prove a point that they weren't going to print for me.
I had my crying 1-year-old with me, and it was a stressful moment. The complete lack of empathy, urgency, or professionalism, especially from a General Manager, was appalling. Yes, after his unwillingness to help me print, I was very annoyed and short-tempered.
I recommend avoiding this location. FedEx should seriously reevaluate who they are putting in charge of their shipping centers, especially in high-traffic hotel locations where basic customer service matters more than ever.

ridiculous location. said it is 65 to return a pre paid box and started to charge my card. absolute scam. as i was looking around for pricing said oops it should have been 55, i misread. not sure why this place needs to charge 5x a normal fedex when their service is terrible and their employees can’t read (or even worse, pocket funds)

Panicked around midnight because I needed something printed before an 8am appointment and everywhere except this location wouldn't be open until after 8am. Immediately I sent this location my files via the online system and was quoted an 11am pick-up time. I called as soon as they opened asking if they could possibly expedite my order and was so relieved when they explained that they'd already printed my documents and they were ready for pick-up! When I arrived, the files were waiting for me at the register and checkout was super fast! I'd give y'all 10 starts if I could.

Do not attempt to drop off a package here they charge $10 just to take it from you and put it on the truck even if you have a prepaid label.

I had 4 posters printed at this location for a conferences. I saw that there were a lot of negative reviews regarding packaging fees, but they were very diligent at printing posters. They even caught some detailed errors when scaling the posters to size and promptly emailed me to get them fixed.

Terrible experience. Trainee doesn’t know what he’s doing and no one was around to help. Eventually the manager came out and was able to do nothing and wasted my time even more. They then proceeded to charge me $8 for a small piece of bubble wrap despite not helping me send off a parcel - and suggesting I go to another store, several blocks away.

This was probably the worst service I have ever encountered. I paid extra for an important package to be delivered on a Sunday, and I look on Monday and the package wasn't even shipped out yet!! On top of that I had to pay a non-refundable $40 for a box and handling fee. They didn't even apologize for it! Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. Never come here.

I had an exceptional experience at the FedEx office inside the Hilton Chicago thanks to Roy. He was running the desk and provided outstanding service when I was in a hurry to get to the airport. He took my package, carefully double-checked the locking features on the case, completed all the paperwork with tracking, and had me back out the door in under 2 minutes! His attention to detail and efficiency were exactly what I needed, and I truly appreciated it. Thanks, Roy!
