subpar bank. very high fees. Very difficult to get accurate information. systems do not work well. My investment advisor was the only competent person I encountered. Then they charged me $1000 termination fee. Highest in the country.

This has been the absolute WORST experience with a loan we've ever experienced. Impossible to get any information. Constantly being transferred to people who unbelievably know less than the original person we spoke with. Auto-pay never worked. They claimed payments were being reversed, but we could see the money leaving our account. Then, would charge late fees. With an almost perfect credit score upon securing this loan, I'm sure that number has dropped. Took 30 minutes just to get to someone who could figure out how to send a freaking email with a payoff statement to a different credit union. Good riddance.

Terrible bank. They have scammers for workers. I say this because every year I've been with them they have allowed some one to come in my account and take my money with my card in my wallet. And now they telling me it takes 8 days to replace 1,000 they let someone come in take in less two hour. This mean I have no money to pay bills. So be aware the customer is the only one that suffers when trusting this bank with your mone.

I would leave 0 stars if I could. Since getting an installment loan through this company 4 years ago, I have never been able to access any information online or create an online account. I have not received any mail about this loan or account with information on it or updates on balance etc over the years. Everything has been incredibly time consuming and complicated just to manage this account.I have called customer service numerous times and in the last week over 5 times just trying to access my online account and pay off the loan.I just spent 45 minutes on the phone being bounced around to 6 different reps just trying to pay this loan off. They don't seem to want to lose out on interest from you and make it impossible to manage so they can charge you extra fees and keep you on the hook for the length of the loan. Paying off early is not something they want you to do or try to help you do. Each person I spoke with ensured me the next person could help and each person did absolutely nothing to resolve the problem and allow me to pay this loan off. Absolutely do not recommend. You can't speak to anyone in our country and they just follow prompted scripts and talk you in circles. Save yourself the frustration and headaches and stick to a local credit union and support the banks that actually have people in our country to help you.

Went to use the ATM at this location on sunday to make a cash deposit. I put $500 in the ATM, and as it was counting, it malfunctioned. It didn’t return my money. It also didn’t deposit my money. Tried calling, but the entire company has nobody working on sundays to deal with anything. so then called back monday (yesterday) to file a dispute. was told the money would be placed in my account while they investigated and would be available yesterday, or today by the latest. My account still hasn’t received the funds. called back today, and they said it should be there by tomorrow. it’s exhausting that i have to fight to get MY money into MY account. it’s even more exhausting that such a large banking company has nobody available to deal with these issues over the weekend. I’ve been with fifth third for a decade. as soon as this is all settled, i’ll be looking for a bank that at least can answer a phone. Stay away from fifth third! they should be called three fifths, aligning with the amount of time they give to their customers.Update: Today is now wednesday, 4 days later. Still the money has not been deposited.

Is it possible to go 0 stars.it's not any particular branch. This entire organization is built on taking money from their customers. they can't care less how long you've been loyal, they're going to nickel and dime you ANY CHANCE THEY GET. Wells Fargo and Bank of America are two of their biggest competitors and I recommend either over fifth third. I'm trying to subrogate my mortgage to never give them anything again.

David at this branch has been so incredibly helpful to me, on multiple occasions. I have received nothing but empathetic, problem solving service and kindness every time I need help resolving an issue or have an inquiry. Cannot recommend enough!

I went to this branch to try to establish a relationship with a banker, as I plan on buying a home soon and want to find someone who can help me navigate that. I sat down with Joseph A. Chaney who is a Personal Banker with 5/3 and asked him for help with increasing my available credit because my yearly income has increased. Joseph put a request in and gave me his business card letting me know he would reach out to me with an update sometime soon. It has now been over a month, I have left Joseph multiple voicemails over the past few weeks and sent him emails asking for an update, or even just a call or email back. I have still not heard anything from him or 5/3. I'm glad that he has made it clear the level of service I should expect from him before I entrusted him with something more serious, like home financing. I can only imagine what a nightmare it must be for customers who have relied on him for help with more serious matters. If anyone from this branch cares, feel free to give me a call and I would be happy to consider taking this review down.

My experience at this branch has been less than satisfactory. I avoid going to the branch so I don’t have deal with a particular person who seems to be consistently in a bad, unwelcoming and sometimes hostile mood. I gave the branch two stars instead of 1 because there are other employees there who have treated me with respect and kindness.

Most user unfriendly MC CC rewards program ever. Cannot apply cashback to your CC account to reduce balance (like at CapOne, where you can). Only to your bank account. So I try. First Q: how many dollars to transfer? But they don't tell you how many dollars you have: only points. I have 18000. How many dollars is that? So I choose the highest $$ choice they give: $250. Doesn't work--need 25000 points. So I want to transfer $180. Can't. Only choices: 250, 100, 50, 25. So I choose 100, using 10000 points. Now I still have 8000. Can't choose $100 again: not enought points. So I have to choose 50, using 5000 points. Still have 3000 left. Have to enter $25 for another 2500, still have 500 left, not enuf for another. Three transactions to transfer $175. It's as if they said to themselves: OK, we have to do this to be competitive. But how can we design it to make it as hard as possible to use, to screw our customers and try to keep as much of this money as possible for ourselves? TNX!

Have worked in the Midtown area for quite some time and my banking has been in Hendersonville, not very convenient. Have meant to switch banks for the longest time but it just hasn't happened. Today I needed to pick up $50 one dollar bills. I had cash and was next door running an errand so stopped into the Fifth Third branch on West End. Got to the window and made my request and was told those services were only available to their customers. If I had asked to cash a check or the lobby was full I could have understood but the only other person today was the cashier. It was a simple request that should not have been an issue. So I went a couple blocks down the road, was greeted warmly when I arrived and my request was completed without question in a few seconds. Thank you Region for making my decision so simple, with that kind of customer service I'll be moving my accounts today.

This bank has some serious system issues and that is NOT what you want from your financial institution. This time, and there have been a number of issues, I went to download my tax-related banking documents. They were not available so I contacted the branch. They were able to use a "back door" to get my documents and print them. The branch has never offered to contact the IT department when they know there are system issues so this time I insisted. The IT department called me directly and after three calls over a period of 6 weeks they told me the "final finding" is that "the system does not have enough space to store the documents" so they "cannot make them available to customers." I asked them why they did not mail them to the customers and was told "I cannot answer that ma'am". Interesting. After I picked myself up off the proverbial floor I just thought... now why aren't the regulators looking at this? Having been CISO and CPO for a global bank I am simply baffled at what smaller banks get away with and have concluded not a place for my accounts! Customers BEWARE! This is NOT NORMAL!
