DO NOT GET. A waste of money INSANITY. My wife and I got a new kitten and purchased the insurance. We waiting for it to be active before his very FIRST visit. He had what seemed like a hairball and we brought him ; the vet say may be respiratory. Now without ever bringing him anywhere a brand new pet how do you know any previous history he’s a baby too??? Yet they said it’s preexisting when JUST diagnosed. I appealed the denial of coverage and it has been MONTHS back and forth saying still under review in process but I will have an answer December 1st definitely. I call them December 3rd to be told there has never been an appeal… I was on the phone with them for So long they could’ve told me that all the other times instead of giving me a LIE it’s been in the process.. multiple times put on hold to be hung up on or sent to a voicemail. If you ask to speak to any other department about your case they say there is no one they speak on your behalf. You request a supervisor you’re put on hold and hung up on. They send you in circles lie to you don’t cover anything you pay for just take your money. THE WORST. Better off paying the expensive bills out of pocket cause you’re giving away money to them to do nothing anyway. We paid for premium plan too and nothing has been covered. Everything you bring your pet in for too you must always send a claim and await if it’s covered.

The biggest scammers!!! Signed up at 35 dollars a month well what they fail to mention is how much they increase the rates. My dog will be 7 next month and they have increased my policy to 106.00 a month!! Absolutely ridiculous and now with pre-existing conditions I either cancel and have no coverage on some things or continue to have them scam me. Would absolutely not recommend to anyone.

Just got off the phone with Figo insurance and cancelled my policy after having it for 10 months. My dog has to get sedated to get her nails trimmed otherwise she won't allow anyone to trim her nails. Insurance calls this maintenance and preventative. If my vet is telling me the only way to get my dog's nails trim is to sedate her, because she has been diagnosed with sever trauma that she won't allow anyone to cut her nails, then my insurance should cover this since I have no other way to trim Lucy's nails and this will cause further damage to her health. I am so disappointed with Figo Insurance. I cancelled on the spot.

It was easy this time and the insurance helped a lot especially at this time of year. I was able to turn in multiple invoices easily.

I just had my first reimbursement experience after my dog had a seizure episode. It wasn’t a disaster, but it definitely left a bad taste. The whole process felt like the same old murky world of legalese, exclusions, exceptions, deductibles, and copayments, every possible angle to minimize what they pay. Nothing stood out, nothing felt different. In the end, it’s just another insurance company blending into the crowd, offering nothing special or remarkable. Given the options available, I grade them as “acceptable performance”. The first insurance company who steps away from that core of gray areas that they seem to like so much it will erase all the others from the map. Until then we are kind of stuck with this 🤷🏽♂️

I am extremely frustrated with FIGO Pet Insurance. I’ve been paying monthly fees since July 2023 for two dogs, trusting them especially because they’re offered through COSTCO. I thought they were reliable. I was wrong.
One of my dogs went in for a routine annual wellness check, and the vet found an epulis/growth on his tooth. We went back for labs, and a week later I dropped him off for dental X-rays. The vet discovered an abscess and ended up having to remove NINE teeth because they were all affected. The total bill was almost $2,600.
I filed a claim with FIGO, and they even requested the vet’s notes, which gave me hope that they would actually cover a meaningful portion. Instead, they came back and covered only $230. That’s it. After all the premiums I’ve paid, and this being my first-ever claim, they basically gave me nothing.
I was so upset I cancelled the insurance immediately. FIGO completely screwed me over. They are a scam — stay far away from FIGO!

I’m generally pleased with Figo; there have been times when my claims have taken a lot longer to process than normal, but the staff is very good to talk to and the issues are usually resolved. Rates do increase yearly.

The policy doesn't cover anything. Giant waste of money.

It looks like a lot of these negative reviews are written by people who don’t read the fine print. Figo kept my soul dog with me for 2 extra years. They covered 90% of my expenses to keep her alive which totaled a minimum of $1600 per month. I met my deductible of $500 because of the plan I chose. It was not a pre-existing condition nor preventative care. Those things, they don’t cover but they did cover her heart failure and I’ll be forever grateful. Yes, the premium goes up as the pup ages. I think at the end I was paying $117 per month but it paid for itself and then some. Having her with me longer without going broke - forever appreciated. Read the fine print because there is a waiting period before you can claim. Some bad reviews were from people trying to make a claim before it’s covered.

Buyer beware…. Do not purchase this insurance for your pets. All the negative reviews are 100% true. Everything negative people have wrote about this company is what I’ve experienced so far. There’s Social media threads online about people’s similar experiences. I went with this company, because they were one of Costco‘s vendors and Costco is usually very picky about who they choose as vendors to work with. I’ve had FIGO insurance for over a year for three of my dogs and one of my cats. I’ve never used the insurance and none of my animals have ever had any health issues or ever been to the vet besides for vaccinations and Neutering. The first time I used the insurance they denied my claim saying it was pre-existing. I went through their appeals process twice. Then I resorted to contacting my state insurance commissioner who was able to get some money back for me, but she wasn’t able to get all of it due to disputed facts. She said I’d have to handle it through the courts. My next steps is to take them to court. Luckily, I have my vet to back me up. I also will be contacting Costco to make them aware of this company and BBB.

First time getting pet insurance for our new family puppy and thought we clearly got vet visit insurance included with our policy. Come to find out after the first vet visit nothing was covered at all. After speaking to a representative it was only for emergency vet visits not routine wellness. The wording used on the website was extremely misleading when purchasing the policy and did not clearly state that it was for emergency only. Don't waste your time with this insurance company not to mention their customer service has been a 1/10.
