Firestone complete auto care located on 3650 N. Elston is hands down the best mechanic shop I’ve ever been to. Alex and his team are professional, honest, and truly care about their customers. They take the time to explain everything, offer fair pricing, and never try to upsell unnecessary services. The quality of their work is top-notch, and they always go above and beyond to make for their customers and I truly appreciate them dearly. Finding a trustworthy mechanic can be tough, but this shop is the real deal. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else—highly recommend!”

The car was taken in promptly at my appointment time, they made a complete inspection, went over the charges item by item, were polite and the service was done very quickly.

4 Stars would be my best Evaluation. Overall, the Staff was polite and helpful. I did not appreciate having to return to car because it was smoking under the hood after I picked it up. The car, also, was not running as well as when I brought it in, though the engine gaskets were replaced. However, in times past Firestone has be excellent and caring with my older car, a 2000 Buick Century. I only wish the Staff had told me that the car was not worth fixing before I spent $1700. I could have invested that on a new car instead my older one if I had been given that fair advice.
Now, Manager Alex offered be a free oil change on my next visit, which I appreciate. I asked if he could give me an additional credit or rebate, but he would not do that for me. The Firestone Customer Service on the phone, also, hung up on me before listening to my complaint... which I did not appreciate. Nonetheless, I understand. Business is Business.

I brought my Altima in after we hit a bad bump. They checked out my tire and it was good. I appreciate the assistance and honesty. Alex was attentive and respectful. He was patient in explaining the other possible issues with my car.

The communication and customer skills at this location was horrible. I had to do the work for the mechanics at your facility. If I had not initiated and communicated the repairs between the warranty company and Firestone, my car would still be there. I'll go to the Dealership next time.

We had our F250 Super Duty in storage for a number of months in Michigan. The folks at the storage facility were supposed to air up the tires but did not. We drove through a snow storm to Chicago and badly needed to air up the tires. Stopped by this Firestone dealer (the gas station hoses don’t cut it with these tires) and asked for some help airing them up. Got us in right away, aired up the tires and refused to let us pay for the service. Friendly service providers and clean shop. We will be back when we need new tires! Thanks guys.

AVOID!! 180/hr shop rates versus 120/hr at competitors. Take your car literally anywhere else for a diagnostic.
Other shop rates are extremely cheaper. 50% at least. They also waive diagnostic fees if you use their service to fix your car.
Firestone charges additional +15% on parts versus competition.
They will NOT waive diagnostic fees if you go with their service. I've never been to a shop that does not waive the evaluation if you go with them. Including other firestone locations.
Stay FAR AWAY from this shop if you can.
AVOID. Please call other shops and compare the service provided just over the phone versus Firstone. You'll be glad you did. Literally anywhere else. Firestone won't even give water while waiting.
2 stars because they did "fix" my car. But I will never use this shop again.
