I was there today and the blonde worker who wears a facemask at checkout was extremely racist to my Hispanic wife. She asked if she was ready to check out and my wife responded in English. The blonde worker stated she couldn't hear her so when my wife repeated, she said to speak in English because she doesn't speak Spanish. My wife ignored her while waiting for an open self check out and the blonde worker continued to berate her saying if she needs someone to speak Spanish she can't help her and she needs to find someone who speaks "her language". My wife ended up being checked out by another nice employee there who even seemed to notice the coworker giving a bad attitude.
I will be contacting BBB to report this business for racism and discrimination. They allow a racist employee to work there and be vocal about her disgusting racist beliefs which creates an unsafe environment. Not only that but this employee can speak her racist mind, attacking customers with vile remarks and no one bats an eye. Five below tends to have pleasant employees but due to the situation and racism I am going directly to BBB.
You can read recent reviews and notice that many customers are talking about this employee. That's why BBB needs to be involved because this five below store doesn't care.
I hope something is done about the racist employee. Most five below associates are exceptional but if they're starting to hire racists with aggressive / provocative behavior, then Five Below has hit a curb.

I am very disappointed and mad because the cashier on register 2. Assoc:862310. I was not able to get her name but she was the white cashier. I told her I was not getting an item. She asked three times if I was saying that I wanted it then told me to saying it in English. Even the other employe told the cashier that I said it in Enlfihs . My sister told her that I said it in Enlgish then she got mad because mynsister corrected her. That was so in appropriate to say to a customer.

Horrible service plus the manager with the blonde hair and the muti colored shirt is crazy racist and kicked me and my son out of the store! I've never had an issue like this before and it ruined my entire store experience and makes me not want to come back to one of these stores at all! Fire these employees because if they can't be professional and actually grow up for once then maybe they should be staying in their parents basement instead of working a 9-5 being rude to people even though you chose this job.

Staff are super rude and are very unprofessional. Place is dirty plus they don't even unbox anything they just leave it there. Don't recommend this store ever!

Workers are racist and rude. Walked in for a few things and I was kicked out for absolutely no reason at all. Store is never clean plus everything is opened and broken.

The workers here are very ghetto and they like to start arguments with customers based off of their looks. I wouldn’t recommend anyone shop at this location, they take selling $5 items too seriously.

I came here March 13. Everything went pretty smoothly. I was in and out and not even 30 seconds because I knew exactly exactly what I needed and I came back. The very next day I came back to the store to pick up some things that I needed. Need I remind you I only picked up three items A portable charger for my iPhone screen protector for my iPhone and iPhone earphones , and the chick that works there who wants to cause trouble My second time coming in here in the row proceeded to approach me just because the first time I came in. I didn’t say nothing to her, so she decided to pick with me and accuse me of stealing the item even though I only scan three items. I ignored her and walked out the door and told her I would not be back in the store, go play with somebody else.

Although most of the employees were very kind, the shift lead with curly hair was an entitled jerk with a superiority complex. I had waited in line for 10 minutes at check out (to be expected because of the holiday) and after checking my stuff out, I realized I had forgotten to pay for one thing in my cart. I had literally walked two steps away from the self-checkout I was just at and when I stepped back to try to pay for it (there was no one at the register since I had LITERALLY just stepped off) she told me to go to the back of the line and wait. I told her I had just waited in line but I forgot to pay for something and she rudely told me to go to the back of the line if I wanted to pay for it again. Other customers were even taken aback by her tone and rudeness and someone even told me she was being a jerk since she could’ve just let me finish my transaction. I ended up deciding to just leave because I couldn’t wait another 20 minutes to pay for that item. Ridiculous attitude from her all the way around, especially during the holidays. The other workers were especially kind though.
