The staff was accommodating and the storage was good at a low price. Only issue was that it isn’t 24/7 access.

Honestly, it is one of my favorite self-storage facilities. It's small, but the staff is friendly and flexible. The paperwork doesn't feel outdated; it feels like you are about to rent something.

I’ve had a unit here for around 6 years. Nice staff. Good indoor loading area, makes storage runs in the winter very easy

Lets start with the website: it lies. Little if any of what is listed there is available. The existence of some of it is denied: “Drive up spaces available now” is the site’s claim, but the elderly grump in the office denies they exist; not that there aren’t such units available at the moment: such units do not exist. Walk behind the building up Ravenswood and THERE THEY ARE! But they don’t exist. Nope.
Same with indoor parking: there are a half-dozen cars parked indoors in their CLEARLY VISIBLE FROM OUTSIDE parking-garage: that garage also does not exist, not “no spaces for now,” but “we do not park cars.”
Communication is terribly difficult: your emails and phone calls will NOT be returned. Like an Old-Boys Network, you show up in person on their lackadaisical schedule or you will NOT be communicating.
Other reviewers point out frustrations with poor management here; either the employees are EXTREMELY MISINFORMED, or management is simply truly awful and allow employees to not work. Or I dealt with an owner who just can’t be bothered to make another $75/month off of doing literally nothing.
I’m disappointed, because so many of those who have successfully navigated obtaining access (how?! PLEASE tell us!) report glowingly on this place.
0:10 cannot recommend.

Except for a little leaking, it was very easy and affordable.

Kind of a rude clientele at this place, once you're in it feels like you could never get out of it but if it's close to you and you have no choice it's the only place to use than you have to

It's never fun to have to leave a 1 star review, but we simply cannot recommend Foster Ravenswood Self Storage. One, they don't have a secure way to take Credit Card information. You have to write down the full Credit Card number, the expiration date, and even the CVV on what looks like a badly photocopied piece of paper. When we had to change the card on file, we had to actually go to the office and have complete another dodgy looking for, rather do it online through a website or an app. Surely having to write down your entire Credit Card number with expiration date and CVV is not PCI compliant (and yet I did it anyway). Two, they raised our rate immediately after signing up and then they raised it again shortly after that. We hadn't even had the unit for one year. Our original rate was $47/month when we joined in May, in July it was raised to $59/month, and then in November it was $65/month.Three, we attempted to access our storage unit outside of office hours a few times but the pin pad to get into the building was broken more often than it worked. The last time we went, our car was full of stuff but couldn't get in (again). This was deal breaker for us.Other things that were annoying: there is no dedicated parking, only street parking. The office and lobby area wreak of cigarette smoke. The storage unit itself was fine, but the floor was unfinished. When we went to say we were moving out, there were no questions asked. Just a "what is your unit number?" and "sign here" and "here's your move out receipt". Like ok, bye?

I rented a storage unit for two years. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Facility is clean and well maintained. I can recommend renting a storage unit at Foster-Ravenswood.

I just want to say that Erwin (who works here) is the best! He has gone to great lengths to provide GREAT customer service and I'm a satisfied customer! I've had no problems getting in and out of my unit - and so far it's been a great experience.
