The checking in process and the young lady who help me out through the quick lane process was wonderfully helpful. However, I cannot believe how much you’ve gone up for an oil change. I bought my car there have been servicing it there since I bought the car there, but it’s ridiculous what you’re charging for an oil change. I’m going to have to consider going someplace else, especially for someone’s on a fixed income.

I put buying a car and dealing with car maintenance somewhere around the 13th level of hell. To me, it is absolutely one of the worst parts of adulting. But my experience with Murgado has changed my opinion on this forever. From buying the car (my Lincoln Corsair from Chappy- who made it such an easy, almost joyful, experience) to dealing with their service department (who are top notch….. Amazing communication, they do exactly what they say they’re gonna do and on time, they don’t try and upsell me on all kinds of crap that my car doesn’t need, the list of their positives goes on and on and on, and on with absolutely no negatives), they are excellent. Now, if only I could get them to start selling cable, cell phones and doing dry cleaning I would never have to deal with the terrible service providers again, and my life would be perfect! And I love my car more than I ever thought it was possible to love an inanimate object!

Mugado Ford: Where Cars Go To Die And Phone Calls Go To Hell
Mugado Ford is not a dealership. It’s a black hole where customer service goes to scream.
They wouldn’t return phone calls for days. Not hours. Days. I had to call the sales department and beg them to physically walk the phone over to Jennifer Rosenberg like it was 1953 and we were passing a handwritten note in study hall. That was the only way to get a live human instead of the sound of my own voicemail despair.
And then there’s Jennifer. On the phone she was ice cold. In person she somehow managed to be even worse. It was like being greeted by someone who resents your existence on a cellular level. You show up with a problem, she acts like you brought her a dead raccoon and asked her to babysit it.
They did work I did not authorize, then tried to overcharge for it. Only after legal threats did they suddenly discover the correct price and release the car. It’s amazing how fast numbers come down once you start using phrases like “unauthorized work” and “lawyer.”
And the electrical work? Beautiful. It failed almost as soon as the car left the lot. It’s like they fixed it just long enough to roll it outside and say, “Good luck, sucker.”
But the real magic trick: their phone system. Once the car was “ready,” they still wouldn’t return calls. For days. We had a rental car racking up charges, and they wouldn’t even pick up the phone to take our money. Imagine a business so bad at customer service that they refuse to answer when you’re literally trying to pay them.
Mugado Ford cost us time, money, and sanity. If you enjoy being ignored, overcharged, and treated like an inconvenience, this is your place. Everyone else: never go there.
