I had a distant cousin pass away with no nearer relative and only thirty days to collect her body from the Cook County Medical Examiner, but I live 200 miles away in another state. Eric and the staff here took care of collecting my relative's remains, kept in constant and easy communication about all issues, walking me through the bureaucratic issues, and even came in early when I made the trip to Chicago to pick up her ashes on my way to a morning probate court appointment. I only wish the legal process were as smooth and pleasant as Smith-Corcoran made the mortuary arrangements. I would give six stars if I could.”

“I accompanied my sister to this family-run business when she needed to make arrangements for her husband a few years ago. When my mother recently died, I felt Michalik Funeral Home would be right for her service and burial. Because of the timing of her death, between Christmas and New Year, as we tried to begin the church plans on our own there were just messages to be returned from the church director, but as we walked in to prepare the details at Michalik, we found Josh, funeral director had already been working behind the scenes to hold a date and time for us with my mother’s church, made phone calls immediately to work out complications before we were even finished with the consultation (church service in Chicago, burial in St. Louis). Delphine and Josh are absolute professionals with many years in this business. I highly recommend choosing Michalik’s if you want to make sure all details are covered and the service is seamless in implementation. My mother’s service was beautiful and we as mourners were lead through our parts by a sympathetic and dignified owner and director.”

“We recently had a service at Casey and Rios and was amazed at the efficiency and professionalism of the funeral home. They were accommodating to our requests and presented their options in a very deliberate manner. The day of the service, we were able to make use of their small but functional kitchen. The guests were quite comfortable with the seating, as their big room had lots of space for the guests. We also opted for a funeral mass, which they also guided us through. The motorcade was very organized and we were given instructions on how to proceed to the cemetery. Overall 5/5 service and could not ask for a better experience.”

I received stellar service for my Honey. We had a slight delay in starting the wake service, but for what they presented to us was worth the wait. My Neicy looked like angel that day. Her makeup was flawless and the Chicago Bears theme that was definitely what she would have wanted to represent was completely on point! They were professional, friendly and most importantly, just what my family needed. I highly recommend their services if and when you have need of a top-shelf funeral services.”

Golden Gate had a beautiful setting with 2 candles with my Aunts picture them, a blanket and the bow of the directors at the closing of the casket was so respectful and professional! I had NEVER seen that!!! Everyone talked about your service!!!! From the Ushers to the Pastor and my family!!!
