Hartigan Beach Park is a small, quaint neighborhood beach and park in Rogers Park, close to the Loyola lakefront campus. It is a lovely little place, a kind of secret location for a quick walk or a quiet summer day by the lake. The beach is clean with free parking. The park features a nice green space with benches, a bit of shade, a fountain, and a small-to-medium playground. It is great for picnics and hanging out with friends. People enjoy sitting on the rocks to watch the water and the amazing view. It can get a bit crowded on weekends but is a great, free place to enjoy.
This is very good free of cost beach - no entry fee . It was clean and less crowded on a Sunday . Best time to visit would be mostly before 5 pm to avoid crowds. Street-side parking was easily available. Clean and quiet place to unwind. Loved our experience with my 2 yr old ! Will surely come back next summer :)

Mostly clean beach and not very crowded. We had fun playing in the sand and swimming in the water. Good for kids.
