If I could give ZERO I would! With all the rental companies to choose from, Hertz is one I will never use again. Two employees working with a line of 30+ people waiting. Waited over 30 min with line barely moving before deciding to make other arrangements and avoid missing a scheduled appointment. Worked with Expedia after to cancel and request a refund and even under the circumstances, Hertz denied because of a non-refundable policy. Choosing greed over customer satisfaction is never the right choice!

Just use turo. Pay the extra for turo. The online check in does not let you slip the line. You gotta read the fine print about payment. I was almost in tears and at experience. The lady at the cube was fine.

Just rented a vehicle out of Chicago Midway: Hyundai Elantra. It drove super comfortably, great handling, and 40-46 mpg! Pick up and drop off was extremely easy. Staff at the gate and in the return lanes were friendly. Our only uneasiness was the agreement to return the car not full and paying ahead of time for them to refill. Although it was super convenient not be concerned about it, we still feel we paid more than doing it ourselves. Regardless, we enjoyed our rental and felt it was a terrific value.

Car was damaged and needed an oil change. Asked for assisstance and was told there was no help to be had. Just drive through the cameras to document. Same at drop off. Just leave the keys and we”ll send you a receipt. No service to be had. Hertz is not what is used to be. Unfortunate and disappointing.

Google searched the rental car return location for Hertz in Chicago and dropped it off on the agreed upon return date. Two weeks later i was contacted by Hertz to return my rental. When i called i explained where i delivered the car and was told that was all that was needed from my end. Another week passes and my credit card was charged a tow fee, additional rental days and handling fees because i returned the car to the incorrect lot. There is a lack of customer support and rental car return procedure is completely nonexistent. Additional costs of over $700.

If I could give the management and customer service team less than one star I would. Hertz cars are poorly maintained, unreliable and dirty. Never again!!

Vehicle was not mechanically sound, had to drop it in location different than my destination, no replacement vehicle available, had to UBER back to my airport destination. Asked to be contacted to review situation, completed prior review and have not been contacted. This isn't my idea of good customer service.
