I will be closing 320,000 worth of business accounts and credit lines with HSBC this week due to them caving to climate nuts. Stopping financing oil and gas will hurt and deepen the divide from the upper class to the middle and lower class since literally every change will only effect the common man and not the elite.

i had to come back to write another review just to pound in to anybody thinking of leaving this bank or initiating an account here. There is extreme incompetence that is would take too long for me to highlight. Definitely do not use a European bank. It has taken me days, hours on hold, and bureaucratic run around and I still have not taken the initial steps or received the initial information. Again, when I use a US bank, this would have taken less than 5 minutes. This is why it is impossible to do business in Europe.

The absolute worst online bank ever!!! I started a savings account with them and when I tried to transfer my money they wouldn't allow me to. At first I thought that it was my fault, thinking maybe I put the wrong account in, but three times this happened. Once with the supervisor on the phone line with me. I waited an hour and now as I type they have me on hold, because I requested to close my account. Terrible customer service!!!!

Horrible service. Started this online account a year ago. Wait times are bad. People don’t know how to solve problems. Just keep passing to next rep. No wonder they are leaving US market and now I can’t even get them to transfer money to Chase without problems. At least exit gracefully!

My wife has gone through a nightmare trying to pull money from her HSBC account overseas. The agents have been useless and they keep giving her contradicted information. We are hoping to finally get rid of this bank, I don't recommended at all. STAY AWAY!

Been with HSBC in USA for 5 years and I have finally realized this is the worst bank in AMERICA. They are the best bank in the world, but the worst for America. Try, just try calling their US customer service, and you will be connected to China, Hong Kong and India, only to be told you reached the wrong departments. This happens EVERY single time. So buyer beware! The worst in America!!!!!!!

I transferred a substantial amount of money to this bank because of their published savings account rate. They have decreased the rate substantially 3 times in a row and it’s only month 2. It has dropped by about .50%. The fed rate is nearly zero and this bank is lowering their savings rate?! Total BS. They bait you with a decent rate and then decrease it briskly. I’ll be looking for a new bank.

Bunch of thief’s. Got a loan from this bank. They sent statements I sent them checks and somehow they never received my payments. I called them to set up an automatic payment. Supposedly they set the automatic payment. Somehow they don’t take payments monthly. My credit score went down and there is no way to make a payment! They take your money but don’t update your account and ruin your credit score. I spoke to a few people and they have the same problem as me. Stay away from this bank it’s horrible!
