Bob pierced my 6yo’s earlobes this afternoon and we had a fantastic experience. He was so patient and knowledgeable, and walked my daughter through every step, making sure she was ready for each lobe and that she approved of the placement. I appreciate his commitment to informed consent! The shop was also spotless and used all of what I understand to be best practices with regard to hygiene and safety. I highly recommend this shop for piercings. My daughter agrees: “He was weally good. I liked him WHATSOEVER.”

First time here yesterday and loved the studio. Super cool place and very clean. Bob was very nice and professional. I have been wanting my septum done for years and have been turned down by a couple piercers and found Bob from a good friend of mine. I am so happy and feel so good with my new septum piercing!

I originally heard about * Bob the child ear piercer extraordinaire * through a mom group on Facebook. I read so many positive posts about everyone’s experience that I knew I would make the journey into the city when my oldest daughter was ready to get her ears pierced. The first thing you notice is how the shop is ridiculously clean. You could possibly eat off the floor. We had a fantastic first piercing experience, perfect healing, and a great core memory created.
When my youngest was ready to get her ears pierced I called the studio and Bob let me know she had to be 6 years old. Instead of just running out to any place we patiently waited the 8 months to get them pierced by Bob. I’m so glad we did!
Bob has a fantastic demeanor with kids by talking to them like individuals ….directly, always making sure they know his next steps, and making them feel respected and confident. It’s a really great approach.
She hasn’t stopped saying “I can’t believe I got my ears pierced!” with a huge smile on her face! Thanks so much for the new core memory.

Amazing experience! Got my nose pierced. Made sure it was exactly where I wanted it even though I had it previously pierced in the same place. Bob was SO nice and easy to talk to. The ambiance of the shop is so amazing & fun. I will definitely be coming back. I am obsessed with how my piercing looks!!

Bob is the only person I wanted to do my daughter’s first ear piercings. I didn’t feel comfortable taking her anywhere else. His place is the cleanest shop I’ve ever been to. The shop alone is a pleasure to be in, it’s beautiful! He did so well with her. Her ears look perfect and healing well. He’s very skilled and great at what he does. Highly recommend him to anyone. Very professional and such a sweetheart.

An incredible experience with my daughter!
I had sole custody of my daughter, she’s 21 now, and she’s the best. NCAA athlete, 4.0 student, the best kid. She’s been talking about she and I getting matching tattoos for years and when I came up to Chicago to visit her during her internship this summer, we decided this was the time.
This was super important because it’s about me and her, and, it was going to be her first and only tattoo.
Bob and Marco and the people at Insight are PHENOMENAL! When you walk in, the place is immaculate and it’s very cool the way it’s decorated – immediate comfort level and excitement. The bathroom is cleaner than the bathroom in my own house, no sh*t, and I am a clean freak.
Bob couldn’t have been friendlier when we walked in and Marco, our artist, had to actually design my tattoo as it was slightly different. Marco SLAYED. Not only did he do this new one perfectly, I have 2 others right near this new one that are 12 and 30 years old and he suggested that he “touch them up” as they were pretty faded and this would crisp them back up and make all the colors match. THE BEST IDEA and he only charged me $30 to fix both!
For the work he did, and the care, and for the great conversation which made the time pass, I would have paid him $1,000. And then when it was my daughter’s turn, she was already so chill and ready because she got to watch Marco and me.
After we were done, Bob gave us cash to go into his photo booth to commemorate the situation and it was just the perfect ending to an awesome experience.
BRAVO to Insight and the whole crew, this is how a customer focused business should be handled.
