I’ve never experienced anything like this, Saturday I was out looking for Furniture & I just remodeled my entire home, walked in this place to pick out a few pieces that I wanted only to experience , No Help, the two women sat behind the desk, No acknowledgment, I spoke and stood their , waiting and they looked , continued to pay attention to their computer screens and NEVER HELPED Me. “ two women who just did not want to help me and Yes they are minorities as well. This is unacceptable and Yes I’m putting this establishment on BLAST and writing too their headquarters in regards to this matter.. They don’t deserve the one star I’m force to give. If you are reading this look at your camera system on Saturday you will see it yourself!??♀️

I live in the neighborhood and stepped in the store because I have passed it many times and am looking for new lighting ideas for my condo. I walked in and noticed there is an alert sensor at the front door that states "front door" so staff are made aware a customer has walked in. I walked in and slowly browsed around the store looking at some unique pieces. I passed one employee sitting in a couch taking a picture of something. I walked in front and around her so I am confident she saw me. There were another three employees all on computers sitting at the same desk. Not one said hi or offered to help me. It's incredible that stores like these with abysmal customer service are still in business. One would think during this horrific pandemic, customer service in any establishment would be far superior as many businesses throughout the country are just hoping to survive. Needless to say I won't be back, but hopefully any other customers see this post and save themselves the trouble and wasting their time. Sorry I wasn't wearing my Gucci gown and Valentino shoes in order to be deemed important enough by your clearly "too busy" employees. I would rather give the business to a store who genuinely appreciates it.

We bought two bar tools from Moderne Living. It was customized from Italy. We picked the color of leather we liked, and the height we thought we wanted. After we got it, it turned out that it's a littler higher than we needed. Rae was so helpful and shortened the chairs legs for us. It fits perfectly now. Since we bought it, there is not even one day we don't sit on them have breakfast & dinner at home. The quality is truly amazing & worth the price. All the staff there were very friendly & helpful. I think if you are looking for customized modern furniture, this would be your perfect store!

Reply#2! Rae, it's good you deleted last response since it wasn't related to my sale . But again- your statements are inaccurate . Clearly to try and save this review - which I will standby my words and can proof my statements ! The spaces on the sideboard was communicated to Ryan from the first day he delivered . (it is ONLY Ryan through this entire process I felt actually cared about my bad experience!). Ryan stayed for a very long time trying to fix the board and the spaces ! Therefore , from the first day he delivered it was known that there is a problem With the alignment ! notification was communicated on first day of delivery , I called Ryan and we schedule for him to come back the following week, which he did!!!! I called yijan first thing Monday and she dismissed me . Days later I finally reached her (maybe that's what you show on your records)! It was then she told me I got what I ordered and nothing you (me) can do! I told her it looked defected and I was unhappy with the quality . She was rude and basically told me she didn't care if I filed a claim . I called to speak with you many times and you ignored and did not return my calls - do you know how many days you finally replied to me ? Out of frustration, I called Pianca in Italy - I speak Italian! Obviously nothing they can do for me since it was contract with Moderne living. However they agreed to reach you - to request you contact me. Is that in your records ? it was Pianca rep that reached you ! After you called me but by Then, On this side - Ryan was the only one communicating with me , as a professional. Ryan came few days after delivery because I text him and asked him to. he went above and beyond to keep me calm! the piece was defective and no amount of adjustments would have fixed it . PIANCA agreed to make a new one - so I waited again another four (maybe more) months for a new one to deliver. Your office did not offer me "update five times " I called to get updates!!!! As it stands - my sideboard - still- is not functional!!!!!!' ..and you have known this since the day you delivered the second piece . Where is your priority for customer satisfaction? Brand guarantee as a distributor? You are arguing with me on social media with inaccurate facts instead of sending someone to come adjust and fix my sideboard - which I still can not open the drawer ! I have phone logs, texts, and emails to back up my statements so frankly it's surprising to me you are trying to rebuttal ! I just want my sideboard repaired so I can use it - is that possible ? 4500/5500 is a lot of money for many people to spend on a non functional piece ! Rae - in response to your response . This is a perfect example of how disconnected you are with your business sales !!! I did not order a motorized bed ! I ordered a sideboard. Your response to me is irrelevant as none of the statements are accurate . As an owner , I would think you know what your addressing for a clients complaint !!!!!!!! CLUELESS ! Modern living delivered me a piece of furniture that is defected and will not honor the product . My sales girl Yijan and the owner are blamed the manufacturer . But - my agreement is with modern living - not pianca. I called immediately after delivered to speak with yijan and/or Rae , no luck for weeks . I finally got yijan and she told me basically "I got what I paid for ". I told her if they did not Honor the sale I would post on social media. Her response "I don't care , do whatever you want". Rae the owner was just as rude and u helpful! Ryan, the guy that delivered my piece) was the only one that tried to help but nothing he could do if the owner was not. i had to call the manufacturer in Italy just to get them to get the owner of modern living to call me back . IQmatics/Moderne Living has been extremely pleasant to work with! We were on the market for the wardrobe/walk-in-closet. Trying to find a perfect balance for the high-end Italian quality product and good price point has been very challenging. We are so glad that we found IQMatics/Moderne Living! The design team has been extremely helpful during the entire process. They came in and measured our space and came up with the walk-in-closet design within 48 hours. That was amazing!! The team is very knowledge about the entire walk-in-closet system. The solution fits our needs perfectly! Product arrived on time and installation was great! My husband and I worked with Yijan at Moderne Living for our media unit in the living room. She was so easy to work with! We were a little intimidated when we first walked in because the price point is pretty high and the environment is upscale. But she was very approachable and we was very patient with all our questions.

We worked with IQMatics/Moderne Living to furnish our living room. Their customer service, attention to details and product quality are second to none. Both Yijan and Ryan are extremely helpful whenever I have any questions. They provided multiple renderings for my living room, which made the selection process so much easier. I am so happy with the leather sectional we ordered. It is hand-made in Italy, extremely comfortable with deep seats. The quality of the leather is probably the best I have ever seen. Definitely would work with IQmatics/Moderne Living again in the future!

We live in the city and how to use space efficiently is crucial. We always want to use the "Murphy bed" concept for our guest bedroom/office. IQmatics/Moderne Living offers a great solution for the convertible wall beds. We were so thrilled to find out how flexible the entire system is. IQmatics/Moderen Living team designed the entire wall bed system together with the office desk for our guest bedroom. By having the wall bed, desk, and storage all in one wall, it achieved our goal of using the room as a guest bedroom and office at the same time. The product had a relative long lead time, but it was from Italy. Finishes are beautiful and mechanism is smooth. We are very happy with the room!

Did not get what I asked for and it costs a lot to do that. I was emailing and in phone conversations with Yijan and Rae. I asked for a motorized bed and got a motorized sofa instead. I told everyone I was getting a motorized bed. I even told Resource Furniture that I was going with Moderne Living because of that. Resource acted like "good luck with them sometimes the quality isn't as good as ours". I chalked it up to being competitive and I really wanted the motorized bed so I had to to do it because I didn't know where else I would find that. Although, a freind came over one day as we working on the new apartment and I told him about my murphy bed and how it has a button to push and it comes down over the couch and table. He said "me too! that's what I got from Milano". Yijan acknowledged that there was a mistake and that we did talk about the bed being motorized but Rae has ended up taking over communication and refused to honor the actual conversation and they never let Yijan reach out to me since then. Hmmmm that doesn't seem odd at all since she used to call me all the time and now she's just POOF gone? Ok. The motorized bed video was shown to me from the show in Italy and was released in October but Rae pretends there's no way this could have been even though I didn't get my bed until late January. I would have gone with Resource if I had known the motorized bed wouldn't be delivered. I told them several times I wanted a motorized bed. I NEVER wanted a motorized sofa. That's crazy. My husband and I have joint problems and chronic pain (rheumatoid arthritis and ehlers-danlos syndrom) and need things to be easy to handle. I clearly talked to Yijan and she knew I wanted a motorized bed. They will not acknowledge the order and have offered me a replacement for close to $5,000 and then assemble which is like at least $2000 for disassembly and assembly of the correct bed. Thanks for nothing. THANK GOD I didn't allow them to make my couch with specific dimensions or my wall unit. I figured you wait to see how the bed arrives and go from there. Forget it. I live in NYC and thought it would be more pleasant to deal with a Chicago firm...next time I'll take the attitude if it means getting the correct item. I woudn't reccomend them based on this experience. Not getting what I ordered and then lied to. They get you on the phone and promise you stuff that isn't in the emails. They call ALL the time to talk because they don't want it in writing. I thought they were just being "mid western" about stuff. Future clients.... You are warned.
