Terrible staff, the ladies that worked there were not helpful at all. They sure had fun talking to each other and smoking weed (the place stunk bad of it). Expensive food, terrible service from the ladies that were working. The smelly guy playing his Steam Deck who looked like he was homeless didn't help me feel comfortable either. Did he even work there? He was behind the counter, but didn't even look up.

Dog food was old and got my animal sick. Clueless ladies talked to each other and didn't help me or know anything about the store thewy worked at. Company was apparently bought by someone new, they don't care and it shows. Expensive food, bad quality toys, small selection of stuff, on top of terrible customer service. Take your money somewhere else.

I have always enjoyed visiting Jameson Loves Danger. They have a lovely variety of pet supplies with knowledgeable staff to answer questions. Even non-pet owners looking for gifts for their friends can find some cute ideas here. I am especially partial to the Chicago flag collars and leashes.

This place has really gone downhill since I was last in. It used to be one of my favorite pet businesses. They have items in stock that I don't trust to actually be safe for animals, I even looked up toys they had that are from companies with warnings of being dangerous, and treats that look unsafe. Also it had been some time since I was in but last I was in staff still worse masks but this past visit last week there were no masks, which I understand unfortunatley mandates have been dropped but historically this had been a small business that seemed to care about health and saftey. We are in a Covid surge right now and it's yet another supposedly community centered business to decided disabled people are not welcome and our wellbeing doesn't matter. I won't be back, it seems they no longer care about people or animals being safe.

It been so hard to find someone to take care of my little pomapoo. Finally found a place and she LOVES Brandan. He takes good care of her and she always looks like a star!

Finding a place that does cat nail trims is challenging-and I've been so happy with Jameson Loves Danger! The groomers are amazing with my cat and I'm always happy with the results of the nail trim. It's pricey but worth it for me. Heads up that they only do nail trims between 3:30 and 4:30 and to call first to make sure a groomer is there that day.

We have had a horrible experience with this place when leaving our cat there for a grooming experience. We made the reservation well in advance and provided details of nails, ears, lion cut, and sanitary trim. The first thing that came out of the front staff was "We'll see what we can do". We re-iterated the expectations and still they replied. Poor customer service. Imagine being told that by your personal hairstylist when. We proceed to pick him up and none of the directions were followed. No hair cut, no sanitary trim as explicitly expressed and the staff still overcharged us. Do not recommend if you're looking for specific cat grooming instructions.

Our favorite locally owned and operated pet store! Excellent selections and prices. That staff are super attentive and our puppers love getting their toenails clipped there.

Dilated cardiomyopathy central. No reputable brands of dog food just the ones that the FDA has listed as dangerous. Boutique dog foodEdit: Trust me I have read the articles I am in the vet industry. But thank you!

Friendly staff, great inventory. It’s one of my go-to places when my dog needs a special toy or treat.

Cute little shop. I liked the variety of items they had available. It just didn't feel quiet as welcoming as expected.

This grooming business is just okay. My dog only needs a bath but the charge is like a full on groom. Additionally, they expect you to stand in a back alley/lot during drop off and pick up. I mean...this is Chicago and I have no desire to stand in any alley, especially as the days are getting shorter. The last time, the female groomer was finishing up another dog (mine was ready) and while I was waiting out back for 10 minutes, two guys digging in the garbage cans started messing with me and there I am, standing by myself. I guess Jameson Really Does Love Danger. ... Ridiculous. The level of customer service from the employees in the store isn't that great either. They stand behind the counter at all times (their kingdom) and don't properly engage with the customers or dogs. I've had more friendly engagement from the customers and dogs in the store. I've now found another groomer that allows you to actually walk in the front door and doesn't make you wait in an alley. The team in this new location are so nice and they actually come out from their kingdom (behind the counter) and engage with you AND your dog. Their prices are also so much more reasonable. Honestly, I would actually pay more here simply because the team is so nice, clearly like what they do, and are engaging from the minute you walk through the doorI'm sure JLD is good for other customers but it's not good for me or my dog.
