Super-friendly and helpful staff, from the pharmacist to the techs/cashiers. They answer their phone (yes, in 2023 that is worth mentioning), they are informative and knowledgable, they work fast, they stay open a few minutes longer to allow you to pick up your prescription and they apply coupons to your non-covered drugs without being asked. That's five stars in my book!

Had a bad experience with an employee named "Amarerllys". I saw her eating the donuts from the bakery. Shocked at the speed she was devouring them; I politely asked if she's paying for them. Before I was even able to finish my sentence she raised her voice at me and told me "mind your own business, I work here b**ch" and gave me the finger. I can't believe this young lady could be so mean. I don't know if she was having a bad day, but she certainly did not have to take her hunger rage out on me. I was going to ask her if she needed me to pay for some. I am currently crying in the Jewel-Osco bathroom as I write this review. I'm so embarrassed to even walk out, but I want Jewel-Osco to know one thing and it is that I will not be returning despite this being my neighborhood grocery store.

The first thing i didn't like when i went in this seemingly cleaner than usual grocery store location,was the fact that one out of four wheels on their short shopping carts was very suspiciously stuck (not mobile) at all.That makes it a totally unnecessary chore to push it around for what is supposed to be for our shopping convenience.The last and final thing that i really don't like,was the fact that a random male laid hands on my two bottles of Club Soda.He didn't do this to bless them either.He did this because he was in a hurry to buy his stuff,or he's deeply racist,or perhaps both of the above reasons.I asked one of male employees that's the same demographic as me if the customers are always this rude at this location.He told me that customers at this location do stuff like this frequently.All the more reason for the employees and or the owner of this location to do something about this like yesterday.If the employees and or owner of this location refuses to do anything about this clearly ongoing problem,then it's going to be "LIT" one day when this outrageous disrespect of other customers you don't know happens to the wrong person.Everybody's not going to let this random and totally unexpected disrespect of other customers slide,but you don't hear me though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A worker in the store refused to help me in the self-checkout line in July 2022. I contacted the manager and corporate office several times. Management is unresponsive and nonchalant about poor customer service issues. The company will not respond to inquiries.

If you need flowers for any occasion, I cannot recommend highly enough the floral department at the Canal Street Jewel. What great service. What knowledgeable help with what I was doing. Short story: I was in charge of the flowers for a 50th wedding anniversary. I needed seven table bouquets, plus a large bouquet. I'm not sure I can name names, but the manager of that department was SUPURB. She met with me twice before I came to pick them up. She had me come in the day flowers were delivered to the store so I could pick out the flowers I wanted. This way, she could keep them in the cooler so someone else would not purchase them. The arrangements she did were perfect. Just perfect. I almost cried I was so happy with what she had done for me. Rest assured I will tell everyone at the party who comments on the flowers where they came from.

Went to pick up a prescription, and waited 12 minutes in line behind the only other person in line. Two other people working behind the counter could have checked me out, however customer service doesn’t seem to be important to the people who work at this pharmacy.At the 12-minute mark, I asked if someone else could help me, as the associate helping the one customer in line ran around trying to find her prescription, then chatted with the other employees.The associate defensively snapped at me that ‘she was with a customer,’ so I asked the other associate and the pharmacist if they could help check me out. Both mumbled.The associate finally finished with the one customer in line (at the 18 minute mark), and was incredibly rude and unprofessional towards me, while finally checking me out. She never apologized for the wait, and never thanked me for waiting, or showed any form of appreciation.The team at Jewel’s pharmacy needs a lot of work in customer service, enjoying what they do for a living (it’s clear that they don’t, unfortunately), and anticipating cuatomer needs—-especially when people are waiting for long periods of time, while there are other associates behind the counter, who could be helping others.

AVOID AT ALL COST - the store sells food expired 8 month agoWe bought three bags of organic flour from the store and found out one bag was expired in Dec 2021. Can't believe the store did not check their stock for 8 months. Maybe the store expect the customers to clean up the expired food stock for them.

I ordered items for pick on July 26. I ordered specific items, not to be substituted. After picking up my items and going home, I noted that the 2 of the items I had ordered were substituted and one of the substitutions were contrary to what I had ordered. I shop at this location often and although this store does not have the best customer service, this was one of the few times I decided to order for pick-up. I drove back to the store and received a refund - after the store employee looked at the order and simply stated "oh you are right". No apologies whatsoever. I am not sure if this is a way of moving inventory by having substitutions of this nature - or was simply a failure to read the instructions for the items purchased. Either way, not good. I doubt that I will use this service again at this location.

I have the Jewel app. I also had 2 coupons. One for $5 off and the other for $20 off. No one in the ENTIRE store Knew how to clip my offers. Shocking right. One person said if you put your number In it should work. I asked for a manager and someone was NOT the manager (ROSA) came over and said something completely different. The attitude she had was very disgusting. Everyone in that store is LAZY! No one wants to help with anything you ask! They don't smile, speak, ask if you need anything else. The cashiers act as if they don't care. Scan your items and don't say one word. The customer service SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!! Not only was I NOT able to use my offer, they shrugged their shoulders and blew it off. Change needs to happen ASAP!!

I had a really great experience at the pharmacy on Friday evening, the 11th of March. I was getting a medication that is kind of sensitive. The pharmacist was very friendly, very informative, and went above and beyond making sure that if I needed additional support suggesting I seek that out. I know that she was busy, and pharmacists in general are very busy, but she took a little bit of time to really make sure everything was alright. I so appreciate good people in roles like this. Thanks!
