Some of the aisles are too narrow. This is the second time I mentioned this and nothing has been done. The stockers block the aisles. The cashier was rude.

There are just too many mainstream items that this store doesn’t carry: iceberg lettuce, jars of mincemeat. diet caffeine-free soda, roll-on deodorant…. It’s very hit-or-miss when shopping at this store.

Demi is an absolutely incredible pharmacist! She goes above and beyond to ensure prescriptions are ordered ahead. Thank you, Demi!

The pharmacists are professional and kind, but there is absolutely zero privacy when picking up prescriptions. Other customers will usually line up inches behind you and overhear your medical details because there’s no space for a line. It’s a massive problem that seems like it would be extremely simple to fix.

Technicians don't know what they're doing. Of they tell u it'll be ready in 30 min, expect at least double. There is no sense of urgency. Won't be back here to fill.

Everything at this store is broken. I don't need to elaborate because the statement is complete.

The physical property is falling apart, the aisles are too narrow for carts going in both directions, the promotional set ups at end of aisles take up too much room. You cannot move in the store if the workers are stocking shelves! The store has barely changed in the 32 years I have been it it. They added a bathroom that is often dirty or not working. They reduced hours of pharmacy immensely. Always lines of 4 or more people. The staff are friendly and helpful but the store is outdated with posts to hold it up and those make the room to move even smaller. I suggest they raze it to the ground and build a new store. Even parking space cut down for deliveries, basket storage, etc. Only go there if it is the last store in Chicago that has what you need.

UPDATE: Someone reached out below and asked that I contact them but clicking on jewelosco.com on the page takes you to a dead link. I did find the web site and clicked on Contact Us hoping to send an email but the only options I could see were for delivery or pickup order feedback. The only contact options appeared to be snail mail or calling. By that time, my interest in spending more of my time on this experience had evaporated. If the only options are "send us a letter or give us a call at ?????", put that in the response instead of expecting the customer to navigate a link that is broken.

Not my first stop on any given day but they have more than a few key items when you need them. This evening (2/16/21) I was able to pick up some paczki for Fat Tuesday. They ended up being fresh af and delicious. Thank you. My wife also had me pick her up some organic tampons. They have those here. Will leave it at that. Also got 4 cheddar jalapeño bagels. Low key top 5 Jewel buy. Try them oven top toasted with creme cheese and eggs inside. 2 organic apples, 2 organic bananas and a bottle of wine. Anddd a 20lb bag of rock salt ice melt to carry home half a mile. Jewel came through on this snow day.

This location needs a complete overhaul! Lots of customers(Captive audience ), not enough space (particularly for meat/produce).

While I do not like this Jewel, I do like the well stocked liquor department. David, who works in this department, has been very helpful and has pulled additional stock from the back or suggesting other items I might like. He even showed me champagne (the good stuff) that was on clearance as they we going to discontinue having in in the store. He's the only reason for three vs. two star rating. I know other will say- visit the other wine and bottle shops in the neighborhood. I DO! Sometimes this is the most convenient place to go.

I think Jewel has been doing grocery pick-up for some time, but I've never used it before. Then the pandemic hit, and I won't do anything else. They have 5+ spots on the Ashland side of the store where you can wait to pick up your groceries, just call when you get there. The way they have it set up, you pay for it when you place your order. You can make notes on the individual items, and if you don't they'll make substitutions freely (I ordered a small bottle of something and they gave me a much larger on of the same item) or you just won't get anything. What I do like about the fact that you pay when you order, though, is that you are all done. I just have to pull in and pop the back door of my car and the whole thing is contactless, totally.
