Always stuff going down. Need more security. Cashiers rude as heck. They scowl at you when you smile and greet them. I get the hint… ill go back to self checkout from now on.

Self checkout has really diminished the experience here. There's typically a line down the aisle with people waiting to scan their own groceries while only two lanes open. Had 4 things and waited in line about 10 minutes.

This store in my neighborhood is truly exceptional! It offers an extensive range of products that cater to my needs, regardless of the time of day. Without fail, I am always able to find exactly what I am looking for in terms of groceries. The convenience of cooking at home, coupled with the value of supporting local businesses, greatly contributes to my satisfaction when preparing a wholesome, homemade meal.

Panhandlers greet guests at the immediate entrance to the store (on the store property) often blocking the entrance to the Starbucks site. They yell and heckle at people entering the store. Additionally, I have had panhandlers stop me and ask me to buy them food inside the store itself in aisles where no one else is around which felt dangerous not knowing how the people would react if I declined them.The store is dirty, many people brings pets into the store and management does nothing to stop this. It is very unhygienic that people are buying food and pharmacy items where pets are allowed to roam the aisles.Issues have been raised with Jewel Osco in the past but nothing is done to improve the instore experience.I recommend shopping at the Whole Foods a couple blocks away that has visible security and clean store environment and ordering online for items that WF does not carry. Sadly, it is apparent that Jewel Osco does not regard the safety and health of customers, particularly those unable to pay the premium to shop at Whole Foods and forced to use this location for their essentials.

I just had the most racist experience ever at Jewel Osco in Crown Point, IN.46307. Courtesy of Martha a customer service e rep and the assistant manager Evan and Matt another customer service representative. Even though I have cashed several of my Sag Aftra checks at this location they refuse to even heck their system. After telling me that my check was not a payroll check, Evan also refused to give me the number to the store and the Managers name. Needless to say I will not be returning to this location again. Me and my family deserve to be treated better than this. If you are a person who is non-white avoid any interactions with the staff as you will be treated as if you are not a person.
