So I had to leave a review for this Jewel for their floral department. I've been coming here numerous times to buy flowers, and while they have a very nice selection of flowers and prearranged bouquets the service of the gals that work there is horrible. They're pretty rude and do minimal help. I bought an $80 large arrangement bouquet and ask for them to wrap it. They expected me to take it in the vase the way it was they reluctantly put it into the cardboard carrier. I asked them to put a plastic bag with a ribbon over it so it would be easier for me to carry, they looked at me like I was from outer space. Send that I was just at another Jewel on touhy and bought my first bouquet there, and they wrapped it without me even mentioning anything in a nice bag with a bowl over it. Again, they were very rude about the whole thing at the store Not to mention that when they put it into the cardboard carrier, they stapled it too close to each other so the carrier doesn't sit flat it wobbles and toppled over in check out. I considered going back to the floral department to have them repackage it, but I was running out of time and didn't want to deal with their rude hassle. Most likely would be my last time buying flowers here that requires wrapping .

Home shopping experience terrible! First attempt, I got expired products and second time I got an email that my order will be delayed. When you give us the option to choose delivery time and I put a small window between 6 -7pm means I have a reason behind. I called and asked to reschedule my order for the next day as I won't be home after 7.30pm and they could not even do that. I had to cancel my order and make a new one while it was not my fault. And please checke expiration days on products, it's ridiculous to get a product at home with an expiration day a month old. Lol . I am not satisfied at all.

Solid Jewel. They have fairly decent produce, & carry the full selection of Boar's Head deli meats.

My favorite Jewel in the area! The folks at the deli counter are always super friendly and slice everything perfectly.

I hade recently placed an order online for delivery, and when I called to complain about my items, not being substituted, and just being said “out of stock” even though it says “in stock” online she told me it was nothing she could do. I paid for delivery just to receive only half of my order and all were fruits and vegetables not even the meat. I now have my order but have to return to the store because some of my fruits & vegetables are spoiled. I will never shop here again they need to be shut down!!!!

PEOPLE CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATES ON ALL OF THE FOOD. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAVE BOUGHT SOMETHING FROM THERE AND IT WAS EXPIRED. MY DAUGHTER LOVES COTTAGE CHEESE AND WE GAVE HER COTTAGE CHEESE FROM JEWELS . SHE STARTED THROWING UP AND SURE ENOUGH I GO CHECK THE DATES AND IT WAS EXPIRED. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ALOT OF THEIR FOOD IS PASSED THE EXPIRATION DATE AND THEY ARE MAKING MILLIONS OF DOLLARS DOING SO.

Nice place, prices have been skyrocketing but that's not their fault. Only complaint is self-checkout is a real pain and keeps needing assistance.

I've been shopping at Jewel for over 20 years. While I can't say I've always had excellent customer service, I never had occasion to escalate an issue until I started shopping at this Jewel.I loaded my items onto the belt. I need bifocals and can't read things at a certain distance so I asked the cashier what the total was. He said to me "You can read" and glared at me. I asked him what he said, because I could hardly believe it. He repeated it again. I had done nothing disrespectful to him whatsoever.I told the manager on duty, who told me I could also call the store manager the next day. I did talk to the store manager. This guy didn't care at all. He didn't attempt to find out what happened. It didn't seem to bother him in the least that an employee had behaved in that manner just out of the blue.I used to spend 600-700 dollars a month at this store. I will never walk into a Jewel again. I'm sure that's a "win" for the petty store manager and the mutant cashier, who have succeeded in causing me some inconvenience. I'll give them their petty win. I won't give them or Jewel my business and I would encourage others to do the same. Other stores might cost a little more but at least you don't have worry about low characters individuals handling your food.

I love the pharmacy! The workers are so wonderful and considerate there. I've tried other osco pharmacies, but they r really rude this one is a bit out of my way, but I'll take that for the piece of mind that someone nice will be taking care of me!! Thank you, pharmacy workers?

I grew up with Jewel being the middle of the road. For cheaper fare, you went to Cub. For better, Meijer or Marianos. The array has remained roughly the same, though I can argue J-O has gotten somehow a little meaner. It's funny to think, but every time I'm at a Jewel, all I can think about is the way my shoes are sticking to the floor. The way the music playing is cheap, annoying, poorly chosen and far, far too loud. The vague smell something was spilled and never cleaned up right. The lights are slightly out of phase, disconcerting and casting that vague shade of depression dimness over everything. It's all slightly browned, like 70s film quality (or 80s BBC, anyway). The air is just a little unhealthy. The employees are all just a little unhealthy. The prices... well, they're unhealthy. The weird thing is, I would go to Jewel today thinking I'd get a better price than Target, a better selection, etc. Truth be told, I'm paying the same, and what Jewel offers I don't especially want lately, and could get for less at a smaller Bodega or neighborhood produce market locally owned. And Target would give wholesome light and good music and no one looks sick and the floors are clean. I might even get something that makes me smile.Jewel feels like a kind of failure, now. It feels fallen and sad, limping along at all hours, possessed of mean necessity without pleasure. The fruit is always spoiling. I've had food poisoning from Jewel food so many times now I get a little pit of sickly dread in my stomach when I see that harsh ruddy glow of the sign. Even their canned goods seem close to expiration, the flavor of tin beginning to infiltrate the flavor of savory brand name soups. Sodas are turning. Bread often molds within 48 hours of purchase. I have not had actual delicious fruit from a Jewel in years, but the prices meet or exceed the competition. The world is in denial, at the time of writing, regarding a food crisis. A certain Eastern European nation, before current events, had some of the blackest, richest soil in the world, and it was an important cornerstone in the global market chain of supply. As it is presently under seige, many nations are feeling the domino effect of deprivation. Include unfavorable conditions both economically and ecologically, and it costs far more to get far less, both in quantity and quality.Nowhere do I literally taste this more than in a Jewel-Osco. At least I can see clearly in a Target and the music doesn't annoy/depress me while I hope there are puddles outside to wash the crackling stickiness from the soles of my boots after another sad foray for forage in this late night dystopia. That, and that alone, is why I come back. It's open very, very late. And for someone who just can't be in the sun, that has rare and special value. But thats the only value I find in a Jewel-Osco.

One of my goto Jewel Oscos in the city because they take pride in what they do. The bakers and people working the hot foods area are great. The fish monger guy is not the friendliest but Jewel Osco's employ people with all type of disabilities so I learned not to judge..They have everything you need here.. But their produce section is awful.. They don't get much fresh quality produce.. like fruits and veggies.. It's like poor quality stuff. I never buy produce from here unless I absolutely need to.. I mostly go here for packaged or frozen stuff and deli/bakery stuff.

I gotta say, Jewel (at least the one I went to) has stepped up their game bigly. When Marianos came to town I switch to them buy now I'm back to Jewel. Jewel's fruits and veggies are better and fresher. Their meat department has shown the biggest improvement. They also have better deals/sales when you use their app. They also have more cashiers and baggers working to get you through the checkout line quicker. They also have more shopping carts (big and small) so you're not searching or waiting for one to be available.
