Story time: On 2/09 I took my car into jiffy lube (82 South Chicago) to get an oil change..where i was also informed that I needed my engine flushed. It had been a minute because i knew i wanted to get it done closer to my trip to pick my daughter up for the summer. My oil light came on before the change so I added 2 quarts of oil..I forgot to put the top on and the oil was everywhere... on 4/13 I went to the same jiffy lube and got my oil changed and an engine flush! On 5/26 I took my usual road trip to Memphis to pick my daughter up for the summer! On the way back at 11pm my vehicle shut down on the middle of the highway veered to the right and there was a white cloud of smoke! I was still 337 miles from home in Salem. After waiting almost 3 hours for a tow to get me an my babies off the highway I was taken to this hotel. The Mgr of the hotel was so nice and said that my car could stay as long as the tags was up to date! On 7/19.. my car was towed to Altamonte IL where it still sits due to the 1500 dollar towing cost! It was diagnosed on that same day and the results were it was cross threaded!! I walked up to jiffy lube on 7/20 and spoke to the manager who was supposed to email me the receipt the day before! Upkn walkong into the establishment i saw all my information on a clipboard on the counter visible to anyone! After receiving the receipt I showed him the pictures of my car..he instantly dropped and shook his head...never denying accountability...yet looking for a loophole...he stated that it had been over 90 days and why it wasnt reported sooner! I stated that the car died 337 miles away and i didnt have 1500 to get it home! Now they trying to say I had a lemon due to the comments! They were playing cracking jokes and begging for cigarettes. Instead of asking questions. They said I had all kinds of preexisting issues instead of asking where the oil came from! I just put an engine in 6/23. Anyone who knows me know I never played about any car that I've ever owned! I never had any light on what so ever! I also got 2 inspections done same day 5/18 lyft and an emissions test and passed both with flying colors! I unfortunately didn't read the comments due to me being excited about my trip to Memphis when I went on 4/13..but I know for a fact there wasn't a engine light or any other light on in my car! This has caused me to lose my job...about to lose my apartment! I have contacted them several times about this issue and as of Friday 7/26 when I sent the emissions and lyft inspection they won't respond! At the end of the day! Regardless to what they assumed was wrong with my vehicle I still took it there for a service! The service completed wasn't protocol! The cross threading caused a very slow leak to where my sensor didn't even pick up on it! I have several receipts of maintenance done..there's only been 2 drivers since the vehicle was purchased in 2014 with only 6 miles! I only have 2 mechanics (where I got my engine installed and one who does the maintenance) who have no problem speaking up!!! I'm not going to stop this was a gift from my mother upon passing and I need to be compensated for my loss!! I just want my vehicle towed here...repaired...lost wages..and punitive damages. I had a job that's on public transportation 3 and a half hour ride...30 minutes in a car! To think yall going to get away with this is insane! Since I'm no longer working I have nothing better to do than be resourceful!! Hopefully everyone that's had a problem will come forward to pursue a action lawsuit. It's not ethical to put ur hard earned money into something an because people want to half step and play I'm on the verge of loosing everything!! This is wrong on so many levels!! And then I'm going to the better business bureau!! We don't have to accept this they have no problem taking our money!! Stop just walking away and fight! I'm not going to stop until I see a judge if I have to!!! I have a plethora of maintenance reciepts to discredit everything tha

I have been a customer here for many years. Unfortunately they are having problems getting techs who want to work. The previous day they had only one person to service customers, so I came back the next day. Apparently young men don’t want to work for a company. Maybe JiffyLube needs to increase pay and benefits.

This Jiffy lube is charging 15.00 to take of the oil pan cover! There is no such charge! Lamar the "manager" and staff are cheating people! I hope the owner sees this!!

If I could leave a negative * I would how do you get an oil change and then leave with something hanging they were rushing because they were about to close on a holiday weekend. I went around the corner and heard something they were closed.
I went back and they said I hit something and need to go to a muffler shop DO NOT EVER take your car here this is a place that I USED to come to often they must be under new ownership, rude, unprofessional and horrible they will tear your car up and rush you out! NEVER EVER GO HERE THEY SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN!! I’m also reporting them to the BBB!

This has been my go to Jiffy Lube as of this year. The price of the full synthetic went up to $100! Y’all can at least run the A/C in the waiting room for $100. That’s a wrap on Jiffy Lube for me.

I took my car in on May 20th 2024 and had an oil change. June 30th my car stopped on me, my engine light came on, my oil light came on and it stopped and wouldn't move. I took the car to the shop July 2nd 2024 and they told me that there was a leak from the oil filter that's why the car engine locked up on me. The only person that did the oil change was Jiffy Lube on 83rd and South chicago. I just cannot believe that they were that careless to not put that oil filter back on properly with all the oil emptied out. The mechanic showed me where the oil was on the engine and from the front to the back of the underneath the car. They even show me the dipstick that had nothing on it. There was absolutely no oil in my car.
