Ok overall. Disappointed that the desk staff can't seem to do basic hospitality like greeting members as they walk in. Not even above and beyond things, simply saying hello is a stretch. The only time it seems to happen is when the manager is around or the manager himself.

The lady who greeted me was really nice, and the person who helped me sign up was great. But during the fitness assessment, Jim was too pushy, insisting I needed a trainer for my goals. When I talked about affordability, he questioned if I couldn't afford anything beyond the membership for my health.I said I wanted to work out independently like others, and I mentioned my concern about my knees (even though I'm not sure if I need surgery). He confidently told me I don't need surgery?Overall, his pushy sales approach and disregard for my concerns were disappointing.Still, I'm happy to be joining LA Fitness!

This gym physically STINKS. The odor is the first thing you will notice when you walk through the gym. Forget about getting a treadmill or a weight rack when it’s between 4-6pm, it’s a nightmare. I personally go to another LA fitness (Broadway) but come here for a few of the classes that I really like. I wouldn’t do my own workout here.*Edit* since I have left this review, the smell has definitely improved. It is still extremely busy in the evenings, but when I come for the classes I am not immediately slapped in the face with the smell.

The only good thing there was the yoga class Sundays morning. They charged me the annual fee twice and returned me only half of one. I literally paid for their mistake. The front desk traumatized me I stopped going in December , but it was paid until February. The lady in the front desk at Touhy unit is the prettiest example of mistreatment. To cancel I had to go there more than 6 times. Maybe you are more white or more lucky than me! Good luck!

Highly recommend Fabiola as a personal trainer. She pushes you but in a way that makes you feel confident that you can do much more than you had thought before. :)

Wish I could give this place a zero. The things they offer and all the quality service they promise has little writings in between. They gave me a discount on the personal training stuff to help meet my needs. (Which is nice) - They said I would get all high quality of personal training. But when I wanted to switch personal trainers- they said that one personal trainer is higher than the others...like what?? You said when I signed up I would get high quality trainers but even then the personal trainers are not that involved in the program that we sign up for. This all sucks because I wanted it to work out. Going to end my membership and the training program. Next month ??♀️??♀️??♀️

Bad service and false advertising. Think carefully before having an affiliation with them because when you want to end the service they play with your time and trick you into delaying your withdrawal or cancellation of the membership.

I've been working out at this gym regularly for about a year now. The location is excellent for me, and it's for this reason I would not visit a different gym.I have, however, noticed quite a few problems over the past year.Cleanliness: The gym recently switched from paper towels and sanitary spray to little cloths that resemble drier sheets. They are inferior to simple paper towel and spray. As a result, I'm sure the machines over all will tend to remain dirtier. The cleaning power of the cloths deteriorate rapidly once they are removed from the container and begin to dry out. This seemed like a cost cutting move to me--I can't think of a time when I've seen the gym invest in, rather than cut corners on, quality. The showers often have bits of paper towel or bandaids floating around in on the floor, and the water pools quite a bit rather than being carried immediately down the drain. There's frequently visible black mold in their and on occasion drain flies are perched on the walls. One week, the men's bathroom smelled like feces for a couple days straight. I emailed management about it, and they said it was as a result of an unfilled position that was about to be filled. The bathroom was indeed cleaned after the email, but in my view, a health club bathroom should never smell like poop--somebody *must* do that job.The showerheads are hit or miss--at least one of them sends water flying more horizontally rather than vertically, and last I was in, one of the soap dispensers just didn't work. (It's a kind of industrial detergent that you'd be better off skipping if you have the forethought of bringing your own soap, anyway.) There's never less than one aspect of the gym that's broken.Crowds: During peak hours, you may find yourself waiting for a while to get on the equipment you need. Outside of peak hours, it's not too bad. As of this writing, they're making a big push to add more members. I'd rather they raise the cost slightly and focus on providing a better service to their current members rather than add on more. I think the quality bleeds into the mentality of the members also: a lot of people will not do simple things like rerack their weights or even wipe down their machines--those little drier cloths often end up on the floor (they lack the necessary heft to easily find their way into a trash can). I once put my hand on somebody's booger, left on a bench.Equipment: It definitely gets the job done. On occasion a machine is broken down or has some sort of malfunction. It's usually just a matter of getting access to the equiment you need during peak hours that can be the problem. It'll definitely get the job done if you're looking to get a workout, but file this gym under "no frills."

I’ve been a member at this location for 13 years. Clean, well maintained, courteous and addressed my concerns quickly. I use a personal trainer, Danny, for the past 3 yrs and have made huge changes in weight lifting and boxing ?. Highly recommend!!

Protein shakes bar!?Way overpriced, no prices listed (sus) protein juice bar.Awesome one of few remaining. Sad as people don't go back for predatory pricing. Probably won't last long.Gym? A++Staff is awesome. Super friendly.Mostly new equipment.Crowded but oddly not much waiting on equipment. Laid back crowd. The pool is small and busy. Hot tub is hot with really strong jets.Free parking.Unfortunately this gym also has the same issue that the Clark gym has. The water fountains are always broken. The ones at this location are brand new. But they always push tepid water or broken. Finally club engineer needs a talking to. The weight rack is way too close to the benches. In order to get weights you have to stick your butt in other people's faces literally inches away. Besides the fact it's difficult to walk and even dangerous since you're carrying large weights near their faces.

The gym itself is big and has many amenities, but... Staff is rude, can't be bothered with customers and lets club fall apart. No one even looks at you, much less greets you when you come in.Op Mgr Jen is the worst. She clearly doesn't understand customer service. And sadly she sets the mood for her team.

Ibrahim, the new general manager, has been very professional and helpful. He cares about the clients and is always willing to do his utmost to help people feel comfortable and welcome no matter their level of fitness.

The consultant (coach) deceived me and took advantage of the fact that I don't understand him. I made a contract (for one year) for personal training once a month and paid $ 195. And to make a cancellation, I need to pay more than $900. And their administrator does not care whether I was deceived or not. And at the same time they guarantee me the achievement of my sports goals. It's funny and funny. Thank you for a good experience. Good luck to everyone.
